Michael Hussey with his wife Amy Hussey and children

Michael Hussey is an Australian cricketer; who is a left- handed batsman and was one of the most consistent and prolific run makers for Australia across all the formats. At one point of time he was the back-bone of Australia’s batting line-up and was named as Mr. Cricket for his consistency and wide knowledge about the game.

Hussey got married to Amy and at present the Hussey family has four children. In the above photograph, Hussey is seen with his wife Amy and their children Molly, William, Jasmin and baby Oscar ahead of a Cricket Australia Christmas Day lunch at Crown Entertainment complex in Melbourne, Australia.

The southpaw made his International debut in 2004 against India and Test debut in 2005 against West Indies; he had a nightmarish Test debut but bounced back emphatically and registered his maiden career defining century in the second Test. He won the ICC player of the year award in 2006 and was also mentioned in the prestigious list of ICC World XI in 2006. Hussey will always be remembered for his exceptional innings of 60 runs off 24 balls against Pakistan in 2010 ICC World Twenty20 (T20) semi-final, a knock which snatched an improbable victory from the imminent grasp of Pakistan.

Hussey retired from International cricket in January 2013, where he played his last Test match against Sri Lanka and remained unbeaten on 27 in his final innings for Australia. At present Hussey renders his professional services to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League and Sydney Thunders in Big Bash League (BBL).
