Record list of wicketkeepers who have dismissed the most players behind the wicket in history of ICC Champions Trophy.
1) Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)- 33 dismissals
Sri Lankan wicketkeeping legend Kumar Sangakkara has the highest dismissals in the history of tournament. He has secured 33 wickets in 20 innings of 22 matches within the time span of 2000-2013.
2) Adam Gilchrist (Australia)- 25 dismissals
Australian wicketkeeper-batter Adam Gilchrist has a lot less dismissals from the Sri Lankan legend, but he is at the second spot with 25 dismissals in 13 innings of 13 matches within the time span of 1998-2006.
3) MS Dhoni (India)- 19 dismissals
India’s former captain MS Dhoni is at the third position in this elite list. The ‘Captain Cool’ has dismissed 19 players in 16 innings of 16 matches behind the wickets in the time span of 2006-2017.
4) Mark Boucher (South Africa)- 19 dismissals
South Africa’s wicketkeeping-batter Mark Boucher also has 19 dismissals behind the wicket. He sits below MS Dhoni because he took one more inning and match to reach this milestone. Mark reached 19 dismissals in 17 innings of 17 matches in time span of 1998-2009.
5) Brendon McCullum (New Zealand)- 15 dismissals
New Zealand’s wicketkeeper-batter Brendon McCullum secures the final spot in the top 5 wicketkeepers with most dismissals. Brendon has dismissed 15 players when keeping the wickets in 11 innings of 14 matches. He achieved this feat in time span of 2004-2013.
