South Africa explosive batter Dewald Brevis has been roped in by CSK as a replacement to Gurjapneet. The Chennai-based franchise still have an overseas spot left in their squad.

The Chennai-based franchise spent a big sum of INR 2.2 crore to bring the stylish batter into their squad. Brevis’ inclusion massively strengthens CSK’s batting order.

The South Africa batter made his IPL debut in the 2022 season for the Mumbai Indians. Brevis made a return to the Mumbai-based franchise in the 2024 season, but featured in just 3 matches.
