Following the Chennai Super Kings' victory over the Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, Dhoni was seen chatting with the latter franchise's owner Sanjiv Goenka. The video of their interaction soon went viral on social media.
Dhoni's past with Goenka
The legendary India cricketer was once the captain of an IPL franchise owned by Goenka. The team was called the Rising Pune Supergiant and was only in the league for 2 seasons before getting dissolved.
Dhoni's shocking ouster from captaincy in 2017
Though the Rising Pune Supergiant was captained by Dhoni in the 2016 season, Goenka ended up removing the wicketkeeper-batter from the position in the next season and chose Steve Smith as the side's captain for the 2017 season of IPL. This move left many fans and experts shocked.

The Chennai Super Kings skipper gave a brilliant wicketkeeping performance and even performed an incredible run-out in his side's clash against the Lucknow Super Giants. If this wasn't enough, Dhoni then went on to play a match-winning cameo of 26 runs to guide CSK to the target of 167.
Dhoni won the player of the match award against LSG
For his brilliant performance while keeping the wickets and with the bat, Dhoni was awarded with the Player of the Match award. This was the 43-year-old's 18th POTM award in IPL.
