Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal breaks the record of Sachin Tendulkar as he smashed fifty plus score against England more times then Tendulkar.
It was the 12th half century for Yashasvi Jaiswal in Test cricket. Jaiswal looked aggressive in this series as he had already completed his third fifty in the ongoing series against England.
Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved another milestone at the age of 23, as he surpassed the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, for the record of most fifty plus scores against England. Jaiswal has nine 50-plus scores in 19 innings against England. However, Tendulkar ended his career with Eight.
Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri believes that Jaiswal’s approach while batting will make him vital player in his career and also help him to gain advantage at the Oval against England. “This game is beautifully balanced and Jaiswal is the key wicket. While he is there, England captain Pope will have headaches as you can’t control the game. Jaiswal can be inventive and unorthodox. Only when he is out, will England feel in control. India have to set England at least 250 in the fourth innings as that, with the series on the line, will be a test,” Shastri said this on a Sky Sports broadcast.
