Following India's victory in the third ODI of the three-match series in Australia, Rohit Sharma admitted he does not know himself on whether he would ever get to play again Down Under.
On Saturday, the Rohit Sharma joined forces with batting maestro Virat Kohli, and the legendary pair worked their magic to save India from a series whitewash with their unconquered 168-run partnership, leading the Men in Blue to a nine-wicket win in the third ODI here.
“Always love coming here and playing here. Fond memories of 2008. I’m not sure if we’ll be coming back to Australia, but we enjoy our cricket no matter what accolades we achieve. We started afresh in Perth — that’s how I look at things,” Rohit said after being named Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
These comments by Rohit Sharma might be because of the fact that he is only active for India in the ODI format with the aim to play in the 2027 World Cup, and the Men in Blue do not have any more assignments Down Under till the mega event. Even if the Mumbaikar does not retire till the 2027 tournament, he might do so right after the tournament.
