India and England are going to face each other for a crucial five-match Test series going to begin June 20. Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for this series as some new faces and young talent have been called in the squad following the retirement of veteran players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin.
As per the broadcasting, all the matches of this series are going to be broadcasted on Sony Network. However, if talking about the digital medium of broadcasting the series, the matches are not going to be streamed on Sony LIV app.
Notably, all the matches of the India and England series are going to be digitally streamed live on JioHotstar. According to media reports, JioHotstar has acquired digital rights of the Test series between England and India.
Even though there has not been any official announcement, Hotstar has completed a digital deal with Sony Entertainment. This deal was being discussed between the two networks since the last month.
Now according to the reports, the deal has been secured, and Sony Network has agreed to provide a sub-license to Hotstar for the digital live streaming of all the matches. However, Sony have kept the TV rights to themselves. This means all the matches will be broadcasted on TV, but only on different channel.
It is rumoured that this deal between Sony and JioHotstar is going to be valid till the white-ball series between India and England next year. The limited over series next year includes three ODIs and five T20Is in England during summer of 2026.
