‘Oxygen dropped to 50%…’: Shocking update on Shreyas Iyer’s injury following damaged spleen

After Shreyas Iyer received a spleen injury, it is now reported that his oxygen level depleted down to 50%, and he faced blackouts.

Indian star Shreyas Iyer got injured during the recent ODI series against Australia – which was later reported to be a damaged spleen. Shocking news has now been revealed about Shreyas’ injury, which led him to stay in hospital for almost a week and even spending few days in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

As per a report by The Indian Express, the vitals of Shreyas Iyer dropped severely, and his Oxygen levels went down to 50%. It has been further reported that Shreyas was not able to stand properly for about 10 minutes, and was facing complete blackout around him.

The reported information reveals that Shreyas Iyer partaking in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa is not sure, as the series is going to begin November 30. The report indicate a bed rest of over a month for Iyer to be fit once again.

What initially looked like a normal impact injury soon turned serious as it was revealed that Iyer suffered a rare spleen injury, and had to undergo medical procedure.
