‘Play at No. 3 or No. 4…’: Former star gives Massive suggestion to India ahead of Super 4 clash against Sri Lanka

During a discussion on Sony Sport, former Indian star Saba Karim was asked about his views on Sanju Samson being moved up and down in the batting order in the Asia Cup 2025, to which he claimed that Sanju should be only sent at No. 3 or 4.

:It’s a very good thing that Sanju Samson is getting a chance to play. Where should he play? I feel he should play up the order. You have decided your opening pair. So he should play either at No. 3 or No. 4. He doesn’t have a place below that. If you have decided that he has to play because he is the only wicketkeeper-batter in your XI, No. 3 or No. 4, in my opinion,” he responded.

Sanju Samson has totaled 69 runs in the Asia Cup 2025 with a strike rate of 111.29 in two innings. He scored a 45-ball 56 against Oman when playing at No. 3 and scored 13 runs in 17 deliveries at No. 5 during the Super 4 clash against Pakistan.
