Ravi Shastri’s special request to Rohit Sharma; Hilarious three-word request at Wankhede stadium
Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri had a hilarious exchange with Rohit Sharma as after the latter unveiled the Rohit Sharma stand, Ravi asked the Mumbai Indians star to hit a big shot towards the very stand named after him.

Former Indian head coach-turned-commentator Ravi Shastri had a hilarious exchange with Rohit Sharma after a stand at the Wankhede Stadium was named to the Mumbai's star batter on May 16. Rohit's parents were the ones who did the honour of unveiling the stand.
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) praised Rohit Sharma for his heroics that he achieved during his career, and congratulated the batting star for getting a stand named after himself. Ravi Shastri was one of the people present at the venue, who also appreciated the Mumbai Indians batter.
That time, Ravi Shastri and Rohit Sharma had a hilarious exchange, which is also the talk of the town on social media. Shastri asked Rohit to hit a six towards the stand named after him.
Ravi Shastri came up to Rohit Sharma and hugged the star. He then said "Smack one there." This meant he was asking Rohit to hit a big shot towards the stand which was named after him. The recently-retired Test captain also replied cheerfully as he stated "Ho jayega (it will happen)."
Rohit Sharma is going to be now seen in action at the Wankhede stadium in May 21, as Mumbai Indians (MI) will clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing Indian Premier League 9ipl 2025.
