Ravindra hits half-century on Day 3 of Lord’s Test
In the third Test at Lord’s, Ravindra Jadeja once again proved the importance of his role to Team India by helping the team in a vital situation with a crucial half-century. His knock saved India from a tricky position and got them within striking distance of England’s 387 first-innings total. Notably, this was Jadeja’s third straight Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy fifty.
Jadeja makes history
Jadeja scripted history by smashing his 15th Test fifty in the World Test Championship, becoming the first player in the world to achieve 15 half-centuries in the WTC.
Jadeja is the only all-rounder to achieve this feat in WTC
Ravindra Jadeja has not only taken 134 wickets but also scored 15 half-centuries in the World Test Championship. He is the only player in WTC history with over 130 wickets, 15 fifties, and more than 2000 runs.
India equalled England’s first innings score
India added over 100 runs in the morning session of Day 3 after starting the day at 145/3. Before lunch, Rishabh Pant was run out on the last ball after playing an aggressive knock and scoring 74. KL Rahul was dismissed soon after hitting the century mark, but he went on to score an incredible century.
England lead by 2 runs
In the third session India equalled England’s first innings score. Later, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the 2nd innings for England and by the end of Day 3, they had a lead of 2 runs.
