Here we will have a look at the Zimbabwe star player that was taken in by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as a replacement player for Lungi Ngidi, who has national commitments to follow.
As Lungi Ngidi is leaving the team, RCB have taken in Blessing Muzarabani as his replacement. Muzarabani was signed in by the team for Rs. 75 lakh, and he will be joining from May 26.
Blessing Muzarabani has never played in the IPL. However, he has been a part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as their net bowler when RCB’s current coach and former Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower was a part of their team.
Lungi Ngidi was taken by RCB for Rs. 1 crore at the IPL 2025 mega-auction last year. He has played in only a single match this year, and has claimed three wickets while bowling against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batters.
RCB will now be seen in action as they will host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 23. Their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 17 was washed out without even the toss being held.
