Rishabh Pant fractured his foot on Day 1 of the Test match against England at the Old Trafford. Now, he is expected to resume his training at BCCI Centre of Excellence.

Rishabh pant was injured on the first day of the Old Trafford Test while he was attempting a sweep shot against Chris Woakes. However, the ball edged the inside of the bat and hit his right foot. Pant was retired hurt and was taken off the field on an emergency vehicle. However, he came to bat on the very next day and even went on to add 54 valuable runs to the team total.
In place of Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel kept the wickets in the game in both the innings of England. Even though he was available to bat if needed in India’s second innings, there was no need for it as Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar scored centuries in order to save the match- keeping the series 2-1 in England’s favour. India then won the final match and levelled the series 2-2.
