Sanju Samson might move to CSK in Swap Deal: Ravindra Jadeja and One other player involved in the case

The swapping-deal is going to be confirmed once the other player between Sam Curran or Matheesha Pathirana is confirmed. Ravindra Jadeja is sure to more to RR, and the deal is going to be connfirmed before the deadline for retention ends on November 15. In case the swapping is complete without any last-minute change, it will end the speculation over Sanju Samson’s future – which has been a topic of discussion for over five months.

Since the end of IPL 2025, there have been rumours that Sanju Samson is preparing to exit Rajasthan Royals. Samson had also held talks with CSK management, who were eager to bring him as a replacement for MS Dhoni. Kasi Viswanathan – the CEO of Chennai Super Kings – recently spoke to The Indian Express and stated that the arrival of Sanju might potentially change their plan of playing Dhoni in the next season.

Speaking about the player other than Ravindra Jadeja, it is being understood that CSK offered Sam Curran, but RR seem to have their eye on Matheesha Pathirana. However, as per the current situation, Chennai Super Kings are not willing to let the Sri Lankan pacer go, as they aim for him to play a big role in the future.

Speaking about Sanju Samson, conversations happened for months and RR made it cleat that the trade should involve any player in return – leading to CSK stepping back after initial talking phase. Since Sanju is firm with his decision to leave, Rajasthan management have explored their option to trade with a couple of other franchises – in hoped for any swap being possible.
