Sarfraz Ahmed is a Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman, who has shown immense potential and played some decent knocks with his unorthodox style of play in recent times. After making an impact in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, he was chosen as the vice-captain for Pakistan in One Day Internationals (ODI) and Twenty20 (T20) format.

Sarfraz tied the nuptial knot with Khushbakht Aftab, daughter of a former umpire on May 19, 2015. There was a lot of gossip in the town regarding his date of marriage but he took the decision of getting married on May 19 as the Zimbabwe tour is lined-up for them later this season. The wicket-keeper batsman made ODI debut against India at Jaipur in November 2007. He has enhanced as a wicket-keeper batsman and is now preferred ahead of Kamran Akmal. Sarfraz scored a fine century in the World Cup 2015 against Ireland, where he remained unbeaten and steered his team to quarter-finals of the mega event. In this World Cup against South Africa, he took six catches to equal the world record for the most number of dismissals in an ODI.
