1) Chris Gayle (West Indies)- 101 fours

West Indies cricketing great Chris Gayle is at the top of the list, with 101 fours to his name. Gayle secured this feat in 17 innings of 17 matches played between 2002 and 2013.


2) Shikhar Dhawan (India)- 79 fours

Indian great opening batter Shikhar Dhawan secures his place behind Chris Gayle, with 79 fours to his name. The difference of numbers between 1st and the 2nd position shows the batting prowess of the former WIndies great. Dhawan secured this feat in 10 innings of 10 matches between 2013-2017.

3) Mahela Jayawardene (Sri Lanka)- 79

Sri Lankan great Mahela Jayawardene sits right below India’s Shikhar Dhawan with 79 fours to his name. He is below Dhawan because he achieved this feat in 21 innings of 22 matches, which is double than that of the upper-position holder. Jayawardene secured this feat between 2000 and 2013.

4) Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)- 68 fours

Another Sri Lankan cricketing legend Kumar Sangakkara is on this list, with 68 fours to his name. He achieved this feat in 21 innings of 22 matches between 2000 and 2013.

5) Shivnarine Chanderpaul (West Indies)- 67 fours

West Indies’ left-handed batter Shivnarine Chanderpaul is the final player in the top 5 list, with just one less boundary than Kumar Sangakkara. Chanderpaul has 67 fours to his name in 16 matches of 16 innings between 1998 to 2006.
