Cricket fans were not pleased with Shubman Gill and he faced backlash online. Many were so upset that they began pulling up his stats to criticise his performance.

Fans said neither Sachin Tendulkar, who was considered as the God of Cricket, wrote ‘God’ on his bat nor did Virat Kohli call himself King. In fact, Kohli had refused to be called by this name many times.

According to reports in the media, the company has sponsored Gill by paying him a huge amount. According to reports, the tyre manufacturing company has signed an agreement to pay Gill Rs 8 to 10 crore per year.
