Smriti Mandhana’s father ‘Under observation’ following medical emergency during Wedding ceremony

Smriti Mandhana was supposed to get married on November 23, but her father faced a medical emergency for which the event got postponed. Now, he is under medical observation.

Indian women cricket team’s superstar batter Smriti Mandhana was set to marry music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal, but the event has been postponed since her father suffered a heart attack during the ceremony. Smriti’s business manager Tuhin Mishra stated that her father, Srinivas Mandhana, did not feel well during breakfast and was sent to hospital.

Tuhin Mishra revealed that Smriti’s father is currently under observation in the hospital, and the doctors have said that he will be released once he recovers. Tuhin also mentioned that both the father and daughter are very close to each other, which is why the cricketer decided to postpone the entire ceremony.

Smriti Mandhana’s father Srinivas Mandhana did not feel well while he was having breakfast today. We waited for a bit as we thought it will be normal after some time. But the situation got worse. We decided to not take any risk and we quickly called for the ambulance. He was taken to the hospital and is currently under observation,” he said.

As you know, Smriti is very close to her father. So, she has decided that until he gets better, the marriage has been indefinitely postponed. The doctors have said that he will have to stay under observation. He will have to stay at the hospital till he recovers completely. We are all in shock and we hope that he recovers quickly,” he added.

Several videos and pictures of Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s Bollywood-like pre-wedding festivities have been making rounds on social media in the last couple days. The couple was expected to tie the knot on November 23 in the presence of close family members and fans in Sangli, Maharashtra. However, the event has been postponed because of the emergency.
