‘Some of these kids…won’t know the names’: Former Indian star drops Humiliating statement on Pakistan team

Even though the Indian side will not be having the services of star players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and superstar allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, the team is still very strong as compared to Pakistan. In a recent interaction, former Indian cricketer Nikhil Chopra spoke about the Men in Green, and how their own country’s kids would not be able to name the current players of the team.

“No disrespect to the Pakistan side, but if you look at their team and ask any kid on the streets to name their top three or top four players, some of these kids, even die-hard cricket fans who follow the T20 format, won’t know the names. But if you ask them about the ’90s cricket heroes from Pakistan, they’ll remember, ” Chopra said during an interview with NDTV.

Explaining his reason behind this claim, Nikhil Chopra said that when one speaks about the Indian side, there are a number of match-winning experienced players- and the national side is filled with talent. “The difference is, when you look at the 11 or you look at the 15 for India, there are match winners, experienced players, and world-beating stars. The Indian team, whether you view it from an IPL perspective or in terms of T20 performances, is stacked with talent,” he added.
