On the eve of the second match against the West Indies, Shubman gill cleared air on Prasidh Krishna missing out on the chance to play, and mentioned that Krishna might have to wait for his turn as the management has not decided to go with a third pacer in the lineup.

If there would be an opportunity for him (Prasidh), definitely we would be looking to play him. As of now, we want to play our strongest eleven. With the World Test Championship, we would need to win 70 per cent of the matches to be able to secure a spot in the final. So, depending on where we are on the table, this is still early stages. So, we want to play the best possible eleven that’s available for us in this moment,” Gill said on the eve of the second Test.

Speaking about India’s first clash against West Indies, the hosts won the series opener with an innings and 140 runs. Considering the situation of the Windies team- the Shubman Gill-led side is also well on their way to beat them in the second game as well.
