According to reports, Suryakumar Yadav- India's T20I captain is currently in London. He is there for the treatment of his right-sided hernia, and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks. While the Shubman Gill-led Indian Test team is currently getting ready to face England for a five-match series, the 34-year-old star is using this time to focus on his recovery.

Suryakumar Yadav spending upcoming few weeks in London is going to help in his recovery and long-term fitness, and according to News24, his treatment is going to begin next week, with the star player returning to action by August.

Even though the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not made any official statements regarding the matter, reports suggest that the medical process might need around two months of recovery time.

This timing is going to favour Suryakumar Yadav, as the Men in Blue have no T20I commitments until August. The decision taken by Surya to undergo the procedure is very strategic, as it will allow him to be fully fit for the important upcoming T20 cycle.

The upcoming cycle includes a tour to Bangladesh, followed by series against South Africa and West Indies. After these series, there is going to be a trip to Australia. All these matches are going to be part of India's build-up to the 2026 T20 World Cup.
