The second match of the contest will be played on Friday, October 10 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. Team India’s main focus is to dominate West Indies in the upcoming game as well as to improve their place in the World Test Championship. The Indian squad is balanced and filled with a great batting order and multiple bowling options.
However, after winning the first game, not many changes are expected in the team for the next test. The same spin attack may continue. However, the Indian pacers also did well in the last game. Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj made a new statement with their excellent bowling performance and could keep their spot in the playing XI. Ravindra Jadeja might be a part of the team because of his valuable experience.
However, there are some players in the squad who are unsure about their spot in the next game. Nitish Kumar Reddy is valued by Gautam Gambhir for his all-round skills and can bat lower in the order. But with Axar Patel, a top-spinning all-rounder, ready to step in, Nitish needs to perform to stay in the team.
Moving on, the star Indian batter with great potential and skillset, Sai Sudharsan, is still finding a great innings with his bat. However, he is expected to find a place in the squad, as the team shows faith in him. The star wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel also performed well in the last test.
