Teams who have played Most finals in ICC tournaments: India one step away from creating History

Indian team is far ahead from the teams that have played the most amount of finals of four major ICC tournaments, i.e. ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup, World Test Championship and Champions Trophy.

1) Australia

Australia is at the front for playing the most finals in ICC tournaments. The Aussies have played finals of ICC tournament 12 times. Out of these 12 times, the team has won the title 10 times.

2) India

The Indian team comes second in this list. India has played the final of ICC tournaments 11 times so far. Men in Blue have won 6 times out of these 11 finals. India has secured their place now in the final of Champions Trophy 2025, becoming the second team to reach 12 finals.

3) England

England team comes third in the list. England has played the finals of ICC tournaments 9 times so far. Out of these 9 times, English team has won the title 3 times.

4) West Indies

West Indies team used to rule the cricket world in early days, and have reached the finals of ICC tournaments 8 times. Out of these 8 times, the team has won the title 5 times.

5) Sri Lanka

The Sri Lankan team has reached the final of ICC tournaments 7 times. Out of these 7 times, the island nation has achieved success thrice.
