The beautiful Boland Park

Here’s a view of the picturesque Boland Park in Paarl, South Africa. England Lions are playing South Africa A in an unofficial Test at the venue.

In 2001, in a One-day International (ODI) against Kenya, Indian openers Sachin Tendulkar (146) and Sourav Ganguly (111) registered a record 258 runs partnership, with both of them scoring big hundreds. It was the highest opening partnership in this format at that point of time and stood steady for the next five years, until Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Tharanga surpassed it in 2006. India went on to win the encounter by 186 runs.
