The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced both the squads for this tour, and former players have been focused on Rohit Sharma being stripped off from his ODI captaincy duties. However, one significant name in the squad is that of Harshit Rana. On Rana’s inclusion, former Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra has now also shared his views.

Amit Mishra believes that the ‘wicket-taking‘ ability of Harshit Rana makes him an ideal player to be picked for the upcoming tour of Australia. Apart from Rana’s skills, Mishra shared his support for the youngster to thrive with the swing that he generates at lengths- something that troubles the Aussies.

He has swing, length and pace. He constantly bowls in the range of 135 to 140 kph. The best thing about him is that he has the wicket-taking ability, which is important in Australia. Their batters struggle against swing, as well as line and length. If you give someone a chance, only then will the player get experience. The management is looking at youngsters, and Harshit is among them,” Mishra said while speaking exclusively to ANI.
