These are the bowlers who were labelled as 'mystery spinners' due to their unorthodox bowling action and ended up causing major problems for opposing batters
1. Jack Iverson (Australia)
The former Australia spinner played a total of 29 Tests or the Baggy Greens, picking up a total of 93 wickets with his best figures being 5/61. Gleeson also featured in a total of 116 matches in first-class cricket, picking up 430 scalps.
2. John Gleeson (Australia)
The former India spinner played a total of 58 Tests for Australia, picking up 242 wickets. Chandrasekhar was especially prolific in first-class cricket, taking a total of 1063 scalps.
3. BS Chandrasekhar (India)
The spinner from England only played a single ODI for the national side and never got a chance in the other formats. Loudon had an impressive first-class career, taking 116 wickets in 76 matches.
4. Alex Loudon (England)
The former Pakistan spinner was a nightmare for the opposing batters and had a brilliant career with the national side. Mushtaq featured in a total of 49 Tests and 169 ODIs, picking up 208 and 288 wickets respectively.
5. Saqlain Mushtaq (Pakistan)
The former Sri Lanka spinner featured in all of the 3 formats for the Lankan Lions and gave numerous impressive performances. Mendis picked up 70 wickets in Tests, 152 wickets in ODIs and 66 wickets in T20Is.
6. Ajantha Mendis (Sri Lanka)
The former Pakistan spinner was fantastic for the Men in Green in all the 3 formats of the game. Ajmal picked up a total of 178 wickets in Tests, 184 wickets in ODIs and 85 wickets in T20Is.
7. Saeed Ajmal (Pakistan)
The West Indies spinner gave great performances for the national side in white-ball cricket. Narine picked up 21 wickets in Tests, 92 wickets in ODIs and 52 wickets in T20Is.
8. Sunil Narine (West Indies)
The India spinner has become a regular in the squads for ODIs and T20Is. Chakravarthy has so far had a stellar Champions Trophy campaign where he even took a fifer against New Zealand. He has so far taken 8 wickets in ODIs and 33 wickets in T20Is.
