Prabhsimran Singh's batting has seen a heap ton of improvement, to which former Indian cricketer and Punjab Kings' (PBKS) current bowling coach Sunil Joshi has shared the insights.
Prabhsimran Singh played a highly impressive innings against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 26, as he had an outing of 49-ball 83. This had helped Punjab post a challenging total of 201/4. However, the match could not be completed because of rain.
After the match, Joshi told the reporters, “I think it all comes down to confidence. It is important how much he improves his batting before the tournament. Certainly, the positive atmosphere that head coach Ricky (Ponting) has created along with the batting coaching staff is showing good results.”
The game was forced to stop due to rain when Kolkata Knight Riders had scored 7 runs for no loss. After that point, the match could not be played any further, and both the teams were given one point.
On the shared points, KKR pacer Vaibhav Arora stated that his team is satisfied with the one point that they have been given. The Kolkata batters have not been performing great in the season so far. If the team wishes to reach the playoffs, they will have to win all their remaining matches.
He said, “Prabhsimran is consistently performing well in the white ball format. Last year also he maintained consistency in his performance. Statistics are a witness to this but this year he has become more mature and his confidence has also increased.”
