In Dhoni’s absence, Virat Kohli led the side and gave the Australians a scare, as the visitors lost the thriller by 48 runs.

Indian regular skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is expected to be fit and play the second Test against Australia at Gabba, starting Wednesday.

Dhoni, who was suffering from a thumb injury, not only missed the warm-up matches, but also missed the first Test in Adelaide, despite the match being postponed.

In Dhoni’s absence, Virat Kohli led the side and gave the Australians a scare, as the visitors lost the thriller by 48 runs.

Senior cricket writer Andrew Ramsey shared a picture of a sport and fitness gear company van on Twitter. The van belonging to Fitsoul, whose brand ambassador is Dhoni, was spotted outside the Brisbane stadium.

Ramsay tweeted, “If van parked outside Gabba has good oil then India skipper will be fit soul to lead his team into 2nd Test #AUSvIND (sic).”
