Ankit Sharma is a left-arm all-rounder who has enjoyed moderate success in IPL. Having played IPL since 2012 for teams such as Deccan Chargers, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and most recently Rising Pune Supergiants, Ankit is no stranger to T20 cricket. Ankit has shown the ability to bowl probing left-arm spin and is capable of hitting some big shots lower down the order as well.
Ankit, who plays his First-Class cricket for Madhya Pradesh, has been a consistent performer for them with both bat and ball. Ankit made his First-Class debut in November 2009 against Kerala. Since then he has done well, enjoying a healthy batting average and a decent economy rate.
In the 2015-16 season of Ranji Trophy, Ankit was the second-highest wicket-taker for Madhya Pradesh, picking up 33 wickets in 9 matches. Ankit also took his career-best bowling figures of 7 for 91 against Andhra Pradesh in that season, helping his team to quarter-final stage.
