IPL 2013: Kings XI Punjab vs Kolkata Knight Riders at PCA Stadium
Mandeep Singh is a right-handed top-order batsman from Punjab who was vice-captain of India’s squad for Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2010. Mandeep rose through the ranks of junior cricket, and was earmarked early as a player to watch out for. He has not managed to burst into the major league yet, but he keeps showing glimpses of his immense potential.
Also a part-time pacer and an outstanding fielder, Mandeep has been a mainstay in Punjab’s talented batting line-up since his First-Class debut in 2010. Despite having got a few chances with the India A sides over the years, Mandeep has been unable to break through the fringes of national selection.
Mandeep has been a part of IPL since 2010, having played for teams such as Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, and most recently, Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was named IPL’s Emerging Player of the tournament in 2012.
