Mirwais Ashraf among the few talented all-rounders that Afghanistan has produced till date. Having made his debut in 2006, Ashraf had some impressive statistics when compared to his teammates. He has played a chunk of international games since his debut and has been one of Afghanistan’s best performers in both ODIs and T20Is.
A hard-hitting batsman and a wicket-to-wicket-bowler, Ashraf’s influence in the team cannot be underestimated. While he may have a lot more to prove on the international front, he racked up some impressive numbers in First-Class cricket, where he sits at the top of the ladder in being their best player in the domestic circuit.
Unfortunately, though he was picked for World Cup 2015, he had to pull out citing an injury.
