Chennai Super Kings vs Sydney Sixers, CLT20 2012 Group B match, Johannesburg
The tall-strapping seam-bowling all-rounder Moises Henriques (with the exotic middle-name of Constantino) came into the limelight with some sterling performances in the Under-19 World Cup of 2006. He followed that up by holding his nerve to help New South Wales script a nerve-wracking victory in the ING Cup final against South Australia in 2005-06, and made his First-Class debut for New South Wales in 2006-07.
The Portugal-born Henriques has played for a variety of teams in Indian Premier League (IPL). He has already played for Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
He made his international debut in a T20I against New Zealand in 2009 and followed that up with a One-Day International (ODI) cap against India later that year. Henriques couldn’t establish himself but in 2013, he was picked for the tour to India after a good domestic season. Apart from the impressive performance on debut at Chennai, Henriques had a tough tour and was dropped from the Test side.
