Sohag Gazi, the off-spinner from Bangladesh gave a glimpse of his skills in the very first Test match he played against the West Indies at Dhaka in 2012 by taking a six-wicket haul in the second innings. He has also notched up a Test century against New Zealand at Chittagong in 2013.
Actually, Gazi came through the ranks by playing for Bangladesh A. In one of the First-Class games Gazi played in 2012-13, he made his presence felt by taking a truckload of wickets which included a hat-trick and aggregated a century in the same game. Gazi, even for a spinner has one of the shortest run-ups going around. He has had his fair share of problems with his action, as once Gazi’s action was reported.
