As the nation joined to wish the little genius for the last time, there was an unexpected caller who wished the Mumbaikar. India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh made a personal call to Sachin Tendulkar to wish him for a glorious career ahead.

The 40-year-old Tendulkar walked into the sunset after the Mumbai Test against the West Indies, which ended in less than three days on Saturday.

The Prime Minister personally called the batting icon and wished him well for the future.

But there was a minor glitch before the pleasantries were exchanged. Apparently, Tendulkar's phone was so busy due to an outpouring of wishes that he was unaware that Singh had been trying to call him.
