Shai Hope (W)lbw b Rashid Khan 43 77 5 0 55.84
24.4
R Khan to S Hope, OUT! The skipper strikes! Finally the umpire agrees with him. A google does the trick for Rashid. Lands on off and turns in sharply. Hope looks to work it on the leg side but misses to get hit on the pads. Rashid roars again and this time the umpire agrees with him. A much-needed wicket for Afghanistan.
Evin Lewisb Javed Ahmadi 54 75 6 1 72
25.6
J Ahmadi to E Lewis, OUT! Lewis has been bowled around his legs! The sweep shot fetched him a lot of runs but this time it becomes the reason for his departure. A full ball on middle from around the wicket, Lewis gets down to sweep but misses. The ball goes behind and disturbs the leg stump. Afghanistan and Javed celebrate. Two set batsmen sent to pavilion in quick time by the Afghans.
Shimron Hetmyerc Javed Ahmadi b Mohammad Nabi 34 43 2 1 79.07
37.6
M Nabi to S Hetmyer, OUT! Straight down the throat of Javed at deep mid-wicket. A suicidal shot this. He already smashed the previous ball for a maximum. There was no need for this shot. A slightly shortish length, Hetmyer takes a step down the track and pulls but straight to Ahmadi at deep mid-wicket. He is not going to miss out on that one. Nabi gets a wicket on the last ball of his spell.
Roston Chaseb Mujeeb Ur Rahman 9 22 1 0 40.91
34.3
Ur Rahman to R Chase, OUT! BOWLED! Tossed up delivery on middle and leg, Chase goes deep inside the crease and looks to heave it away but misses it completely. It goes between the bat and pad and hits the leg stump. Massive wicket for Afghanistan as they get rid of the in-form man.
Nicholas Pooranc Sharafuddin Ashraf b Naveen-ul-Haq 67 50 7 3 134
49.2
Naveen to N Pooran, OUT! Pooran holes out but not before playing a superb hand to take West Indies to a competitive total. This is again a slower ball, Pooran tries to clear long off again but fails to make the connection which was needed. The ball goes straight to Ashraf at long off who makes no mistake.
Kieron Pollard (C)c & b Sharafuddin Ashraf 3 5 0 0 60
39.3
S Ashraf to K Pollard,OUT! The skipper departs. A soft dismissal this one. A flighted ball on middle, Pollard pushes it but it goes uppishly to the right of the bowler. Ashraf moves across and grabs the opportunity gleefully. Wickets continue to tumble for West Indies after that 98-run opening stand. This has been an excellent comeback from the Afghans.
Jason Holderrun out (Mujeeb Ur Rahman) 9 13 0 0 69.23
43.1
Naveen to J Holder, OUT! A suicidal second run that one and Holder has to make a long walk back to the pavilion. There was absolutely no need of that second run. This was a slower one on middle, Holder nudged it with the soft hands towards deep mid-wicket and wanted the second straightaway. Mujeeb there got to the ball and fired a rocket throw to the keeper who took the bails off. The third umpire is called and the tall Holder is found short.
Romario Shepherdc Sharafuddin Ashraf b Naveen-ul-Haq 6 9 0 0 66.67
47.5
Naveen to R Shepherd, OUT! Shepherd holes out in search of quick runs. Naveen, in search of another blockhole delivery dishes out a low full toss. Shepherd looks to muscle it away but the timing is not right. The ball goes straight to Ashraf at long on.
Alzarri Josephnot out 1 4 0 0 25
Hayden Walshc Rashid Khan b Naveen-ul-Haq 4 2 1 0 200
49.6
Naveen to H Walsh, OUT! Caught! Slower ball outside off, Walsh aims to go downtown but manages to slice it towards mid off. Rashid Khan there settles under the ball and pouches it comfortably. West Indies end their innings on 247/9.

Hazratullah Zazaic Sheldon Cottrell b Roston Chase 23 30 1 2 76.67
14.4
R Chase to H Zazai, OUT! Caught this time! Less bottom-hand in that shot. Full and outside off, Zazai gets underneath it and looks to swing it over long on again. But this time, he finds Sheldon Cottrell who takes it calmly at the fence. A bizarre knock from Hazratullah - 23 from 30 balls, with just 3 hits to the fence. The Afghans now need another 187 from 212 balls.
Javed Ahmadic & b Sheldon Cottrell 0 4 0 0 0
0.5
S Cottrell to J Ahmadi, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Early setback for Afghanistan in the chase. Cottrell bowls it back of a length and on middle, Ahmadi looks to break the shackles but is not in a position to play the pull. He gets a top edge on it and it goes to Sheldon Cottrell who moves to his right and takes a comfortable catch.
Rahmat Shahrun out (Kieron Pollard) 33 54 4 0 61.11
13.6
A Joseph to H Zazai, OUT! RUN OUT! Miscommunication and Rahmat is gone. Tough luck. This is called being sold a dummy down the river. On a good length on off, Zazai taps it towards covers and calls for a single initially. Seeing that, Rahmat takes off from the non-striker's end. But then, Zazai sends him back as he sees Kieron Pollard charging in. The skipper throws it towards Joseph at the bowler's end where Alzarri runs back and takes the bails off. The run out appeal is referred upstairs. Now, here is the scene. When Joseph takes the bails off, they do not come off! It takes a second and then one of the bails gets dislodged! After watching the replays a few times, the third umpire gives it out.
Ikram Ali Khil (W)c Jason Holder b Roston Chase 19 36 2 0 52.78
26.6
R Chase to Ali Khil, OUT! Edged and taken! A wicket on the final ball of his spell for Roston Chase. A beautiful ball to get that too. First, the flight. Plenty of it. That makes the batsman come forward. Then, the dip. Add to that, a bit of turn as well. Nothing much wrong from the batsman. Ali Khil comes forward to defend but the away-spinning ball takes the outside edge. Simple catch to Jason Holder at first slip. Chase finishes with 3/30, with Afghanistan half their side down. Still 139 needed, from 138 balls. Looking very difficult now.
Asghar Afghanc Evin Lewis b Roston Chase 3 8 0 0 37.5
18.2
R Chase to A Afghan, OUT! CAUGHT! Afghanistan lose their fourth wicket. This is going downhill now. Asghar, one of the best players of spin in their team, has thrown his wicket away. Flighted delivery on middle, Afghan comes down the track and looks to go big but cannot quite get the distance. He finds Evin Lewis at deep mid-wicket who gobbles it up. 169 more needed now, 190 balls.
Najibullah Zadranc Nicholas Pooran b Sheldon Cottrell 56 66 7 1 84.85
38.6
S Cottrell to N Zadran, OUT! CAUGHT! West Indies break the 68-run stand. They finally get the wicket of Najibullah Zadran. Short delivery outside off, Zadran looks to cut but gets an outside edge. It goes towards Nicholas Pooran who is keeping wickets in place of Shai Hope, taking a simple catch. Najibullah Zadran looks to chase the delivery where he could have easily left that. Another batsman who has got set, departs. A fine knock, but it has probably opened the door for the West Indies. 71 more needed from 66 balls.
Mohammad Nabilbw b Hayden Walsh 32 38 5 0 84.21
39.1
H Walsh to M Nabi, OUT! LBW! Or shall we say, adjudged LBW? Because Nabi is not happy at all. He is walking off, shaking his head and hitting the ground with his bat in frustration. No reviews in this series, remember. Hard to see how that can be out. 1. It is a leg spinner. 2. Nabi got down and across his stumps and one could see two-and-a-half sticks when he attempted that paddle shot. Which means, that when he attempted the stroke, the impact could have been outside off. 3. Given that it is a leggie, couldn't it have been turning away? West Indies won't care. They are 3 wickets away from winning their first ODI series in 5 years...
Rashid Khan (C)st Nicholas Pooran b Hayden Walsh 2 9 0 0 22.22
41.5
H Walsh to R Khan, OUT! STUMPED! Afghanistan lose their 8th wicket. Flighted delivery outside off, Rashid comes down the track and looks to go for a big shot but misses it. Nicholas Pooran whips the bails off in a flash. West Indies are two wickets away from winning the match.
Sharafuddin Ashrafc Shimron Hetmyer b Hayden Walsh 13 16 1 0 81.25
45.4
H Walsh to S Ashraf, OUT! CAUGHT! Flighted delivery on middle, Ashraf plays a slog sweep over mid-wicket but does not get the distance on it. It goes towards Hetmyer who takes a comfortable catch in the deep. WEST INDIES WIN BY 47 RUNS AND WIN THE SERIES 2-0!
Mujeeb Ur Rahmanc Romario Shepherd b Sheldon Cottrell 0 3 0 0 0
42.3
S Cottrell to Ur Rahman, OUT! Caught! Cottrell has his third and he brings out the salute. A length ball, outside off, Mujeeb swings hard but gets a massive top edge. The ball goes high in the air and down to third man where Romario Shepherd, well, almost loses it in the lights but manages to take it at the last moment. Smiles. All is well that ends well. Not sure he would have smiled if the catch had gone down...
