Martin Guptillc Glenn Maxwell b Mitchell Starc 6 19 1 0 31.58
4.4
Mitchell Starc to Martin Guptill, OUT! TAKEN! Glenn Maxwell, take a bow! What a catch this is from the Big Show! A special effort is needed to dismiss the dangerous Guptill! Starc keeps serving a full-length ball, angling across the right-hander. Guptill has a feel for it and tries to play with a straight bat but gets a thick outside edge and it flies to the left of backward point. Glenn Maxwell there dives and plucks it out of nowhere. He stretches his left hand out and the ball sticks firmly in his palm. Just superb from Maxwell. Too many dot balls and there was certainly some pressure building on New Zealand. Also, this is not the first time we have seen the slicing bat of Guptill and a catch taken brilliantly at backward point.
Devon Conwaylbw b Adam Zampa 46 68 4 1 67.65
22.5
Adam Zampa to Devon Conway, OUT! Given lbw! Devon Conway has a word with his partner and decides to take the review. He is not looking confident. Coming to the delivery, it's flighted and full, landing around middle and off and turning back in a hint. Devon Conway goes down to play the sweep shot but fails to connect. He is rapped on the front pad, they appeal and the finger goes up. DRS time - Nothing on the Snicko and Hot Spot. Ball Tracking shows three reds and the 81-run stand has been broken. It was absolutely plumb. New Zealand lose their review along with the second wicket.
Kane Williamson (C)c David Warner b Glenn Maxwell 45 71 3 1 63.38
29.6
Glenn Maxwell to Kane Williamson, OUT! TAKEN! A big wicket for Australia and at a very crucial time! Kane Williamson goes 5 runs short of his half century! Maxwell serves it full and around off, a bit slower. Kane Williamson tries to slog-sweep but he's a bit early through his shot. He mistimes and the ball goes to deep mid-wicket where David Warner takes a simple catch. Another partnership is broken and New Zealand will have to start from scratch again.
Tom Latham (W)c Adam Zampa b Glenn Maxwell 43 57 2 1 75.44
41.5
Glenn Maxwell to Tom Latham, OUT! CAUGHT! Glenn Maxwell continues to have a good day in the field. A stupendous catch to start with and now he has his third wicket. Fires this one flat, it's a bit short and skidding into the batters from middle and leg, Latham goes down to sweep but it takes the upper half of his bat and flies to short fine leg. A simple catch for Adam Zampa and a batter who has faced 50-plus balls departs at a crunch moment for New Zealand.
Daryl Mitchellc Steven Smith b Glenn Maxwell 26 33 2 0 78.79
41.1
Glenn Maxwell to Daryl Mitchell, OUT! CAUGHT! Mitchell sees the opportunity to dominate a part-timer but perishes. Maxwell keeps it simple, delivers it full and around middle, Daryl Mitchell advances down the track to flick but it takes the inner portion of his bat and flies straight into the hands of Steven Smith at short mid-wicket. A simple catch for Smudge and Australia continue to grab timely wickets. The pitch is clearly holding up and that produced a faulty stroke.
Michael Bracewellc Steven Smith b Glenn Maxwell 7 8 1 0 87.5
43.4
Glenn Maxwell to Michael Bracewell, OUT! TAKEN! Another catch for Smith and he has helped Maxwell in getting his fourth wicket of the match. This is smart bowling from Maxy, he perhaps senses the charge and drags the length short along with pushing it wide outside off. Michael Bracewell advances down the track but has to reach out for his shot. As a result, he couldn't get the timing and Steven Smith stretches a bit to his right at covers to complete the catch. New Zealand's inning is going downhill at the backend.
James Neeshamc Alex Carey b Josh Hazlewood 16 16 0 1 100
46.4
Josh Hazlewood to James Neesham, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! It's a big blow to New Zealand's chances of getting to 250. Josh Hazlewood maintains his line around off and delivers it on a shortish length at 134.8 kph, James Neesham attempts to be inventive as he walks across the stumps to scoop it over short fine leg. All he manages is to play it from the face of his bat to Alex Carey who takes a simple catch behind the stumps.
Mitchell Santnerc Alex Carey b Josh Hazlewood 13 13 1 0 100
48.6
Josh Hazlewood to Mitchell Santner, OUT! Strangled down the leg side! Clever deception from Josh Hazlewood and that earns him his third wicket. The line is not great as it's down the leg side but the pace is only 117.2 kph. Mitchell Santner tries to tickle it fine when he should have looked to whip it across the line and the ball takes a faint inside edge of his bat. Alex Carey has the simplest of catches to grab and the number 9 goes down for the Kiwis.
Matt Henryc Mitchell Starc b Josh Hazlewood 4 7 0 0 57.14
48.2
Josh Hazlewood to Matt Henry, OUT! Excellent catch from Mitchell Starc and Santner turning the strike over was indeed not a great decision! Josh Hazlewood angles in a length ball around off, Matt Henry's attempt to heave it over the leg side flops as the ball takes the inside half of his blade and loops to the right side of mid-wicket. Mitchell Starc completes a nice tumbling catch and New Zealand lose their eighth wicket.

David Warnerc Michael Bracewell b Matt Henry 20 25 2 1 80
7.2
Matt Henry to David Warner, OUT! TAKEN! David Warner places it straight into the hands of Michael Bracewell! Australia are in a mood to recreate what they did in the last match against Zimbabwe! Coming to the delivery - short of a length and on middle. Warner pulls it flat and hard. It comes off the middle but flies straight to Michael Bracewell at deep square leg. The only batter who looked in control during his stay at the crease goes now and Australia are four down.
Aaron Finch (C)lbw b Trent Boult 5 4 0 0 125
2.4
Trent Boult to Aaron Finch, OUT! LBW! A string of low scores continues for Aaron Finch as he departs early again. Trent Boult gets the better of Aaron Finch yet again who keeps on struggling against the left-arm pacers. This is on a length and around middle and off, shaping back in. Finch, who is standing well ahead of the crease to negate the movement, leans a bit as he looks to play in front of his pads and onto the leg side but misses and gets hit on the front pad. A huge appeal for LBW and the umpire is quick to raise his dreaded finger. Aaron Finch reviews it! Hot Spot doesn't show anything while the Snicko shows no bat. The Ball Tracking shows three reds and Finch has to make his way back.
Steven Smithb Trent Boult 1 8 0 0 12.5
4.3
Trent Boult to Steven Smith, OUT! DRAGGED ON! Trent Boult is best in the business with the new ball and he has two wickets now. Smith's struggle comes to an end! Boult serves a length ball, outside off, the ball lands and moves back in a bit late. Smith tries to drive away from the body but manages an inside edge and the stumps are disturbed. Australia are rocked early by the Kiwi pacer. That's one shot that Smudge will look back in regret. Very loose.
Marnus Labuschagnelbw b Trent Boult 0 7 0 0 0
6.6
Trent Boult to Marnus Labuschagne, OUT! LBW! Trent Boult gets another one! He is spitting fire right now! Just brilliant from the Kiwi! Boult with his orthodox delivery! An inswinging length ball, around off. Marnus Labuschagne gets on the back foot as he looks to defend but misses and gets rapped first on the front pad and then on the second. A huge appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Marnus has a resigned look on his face, Warner tries to have a word with him but Labuschagne is certain that he's plumb in front. He walks back without taking the DRS and the Ball Tracking confirms that it's a good decision from Marnus. Three reds. Not a return to the ODI team he was hoping for.
Marcus Stoinisb Matt Henry 5 11 0 0 45.45
11.6
Matt Henry to Marcus Stoinis, OUT! STUMPS SHATTERED! Matt Henry roars in delight and Australia are now five down. Straightness is his signature, says the on-air commentator, and he reaps reward due to that quality. The speedster keeps his line on and around off and serves it on a shortish length at 137.2 kph. The ball lands and jags back in to breach Stoinis' back foot defense. It sneaks through and sends the bails flying. This has been yet another dismal display with the bat from the Kangaroos.
Alex Carey (W)c Matt Henry b Lockie Ferguson 85 99 8 1 85.86
39.1
Lockie Ferguson to Alex Carey, OUT! CAUGHT! Against the run of play, New Zealand have a wicket. The 158-run stand has been broken but is it too late for the Kiwis? 31 needed more off 65 balls. Coming to the delivery, it's short and outside off, Alex Carey stays back and tries to pull it over the infield on the leg side but ends up hitting it straight into the hands of Matt Henry at wide mid on. Carey is clearly disappointed to not finish the chase. He departs to a standing ovation from the crowd.

40.4
Trent Boult to Glenn Maxwell, OUT! Maxwell holes out! It appeared to be a clean shot, would have been a biggie on any other ground but here, he's caught near the fence. On a length and around middle and leg. Maxwell whips it away and hits it high in the air towards deep square leg. James Neesham runs to his right near the fence and takes a sharp catch. This game is not over yet.
Mitchell Starcc Daryl Mitchell b Lockie Ferguson 1 3 0 0 33.33
41.1
Lockie Ferguson to Mitchell Starc, OUT! Australia are 8 down and this game is heading to a close finish now. 26 needed off 53 balls. Back of a length, around leg at 144.8 kph, Starc tries to fend it away but he does so uppishly towards square leg where Daryl Mitchell takes a simple catch. New Zealand have a sniff here!
