Phew! So that is it from us for this game. It was a fantastic exhibition of Test cricket and showed one and all that hard work does not go waste if you are ready to go out of your comfort zone. Man of the Match, KL Rahul says that he was delighted to play well on his home ground. Admits that the first Test loss did hit them hard and calls it a proud moment for them winning here as it would give a lot of confidence to this young Test side. Confesses that he knows the wicket and was confident that a target of over 150 was always going to be a good one. (On not converting the starts) Calls it disappointing and hopes to improve. Adds that they are going to enjoy the win today and think about Ranchi from tomorrow. (On the shoulder injury) Says that it restricted him a bit and he had to cut down on a few shots. Ends by saying that if the restriction makes him a better batsman than he does not mind it at all.

Indian skipper, Virat Kohli feels that the guys wanted to bounce back after the loss at Pune. Applauds his teams for putting up such a brilliant performance. Adds that the first session on the second day was the turning point. Also adds that they knew the conditions well. States that they have been having a close look at the relaid pitch as no team has been able to chase a total in the excess off 120. Acknowledges the fact that Pujara and Rahane are the best Test players in the side and they showed their caliber. Praises Saha and Ishant for the grit and determination they showed in the middle. Ends by saying that the Ranchi Test would be a crucial one and they cannot wait for it to start.

Australian skipper, Steve Smith feels that it was a great Test match. Says that he enjoyed the match a lot. Emphasizes on the fact that the partnership between Pujara and Rahane hurt them a lot. Applauds Ashwin for his beautiful bowling performance in the fourth innings. Feels that the pitch was a really difficult one to bat on. Opines that the umpires have a really tough job in the middle and it wasn't an easy pitch to umpire on. Ends by saying that they would be looking forward to the upcoming matches.

The pacers set it up for India taking the cream out of the Australian batting line-up. Warner and Shaun Marsh will rue their close DRS calls while Smith got out to a grubber. Ravichandran Ashwin, who did not make an impact so far in the series, stepped up and registered yet another five-wicket haul to seal the win for India and thereby staying alive in the series. Phew, what a game, what a hard fought contest.

Australia then once again roared back in the game with the second new ball. Josh Hazlewood taking 6/67 with Starc chipping in with 2/74. The target for Australia was 188, thanks to the 92 from Pujara and 52 from Rahane. The visitors began well with every batsman coming out playing their shots to put pressure back on India.

Australia having got a 87-run lead would have hoped for another collapse but it did not come immediately. KL Rahul once again lead India well with a fifty but his wicket triggered a mini-collapse. India once again were in trouble and it was the pair of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane who bailed India out with a solid 118-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Let's go back in time a bit, India won the toss and would have hoped to bat big but more shock awaited them as Lyon ran through their batting line-up taking 8/50. Rahul was the top scorer with a brilliant 90. India looked out of the game when Australia looked set for a big score with Renshaw and Shaun Marsh going great. India had an unusual bowling innings with Jadeja who bowled the least, took 6/63.

What a game of cricket! They say it is the game of glorious uncertainties and this Test match just proved that. It also showed that you do not need flat decks for a thrilling game of cricket. India emerge victorious in what has been a really hard fought game of cricket.

Phew! This Test match keeps swinging fortunes at the drop of the hat. Needing 188 to win, Australia came out positive and played their shots. Steven Smith - Reckons that the first Test is always important and they have successfully won it. Addresses that he cannot underestimate the Indians who will be looking to bounce back in the contest. Seems really happy after the first game where his team played good cricket and proved a point.

Virat Kohli - Smiles as Sanjay Manjrekar reckons that India are back to winning ways as they have won the toss. Kohli sounds really happy as he opts to bat first and looks to score heavily as the wicket seems batting friendly. Seems optimistic about the game as they have bounced back even in the past and would love to do so again. Mentions that when they lost at Galle against Sri Lanka, they had found that they lacked intent and adds that the boys will come out with a lot more intent in this game. Ends by saying that the Bangalore wicket has always helped the pacers when they have bowled on a better length.

TOSS - India win the toss and opt to bat first! Two changes for India, Murali Vijay is injured and replaced by Abhinav Mukund. Karun Nair comes in place of Jayant Yadav, so India have brought in an extra batsman to strengthen the side. Australia had already announced an unchanged XI.

Australia announced an unchanged XI which shows how confident they are, not wrongly too. They have done well to put pressure on India and will know they can do the unthinkable, by retaining the Border-Gavaskar trophy by winning this Test. The Indian side will be hurting and itching for a comeback. It is only the second time Virat Kohli has lost the opening Test in the sub-continent, they came back against Sri Lanka to win the series 2-1 but Australia are a different proposition. Everyone can talk about the one bad game, but it takes performance to actually put it past you. There is a lot at stake, expect a cracker of a game!

Hello everyone and welcome to the coverage of the 2nd Test between India and Australia at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. What we are about to witness today is why the game of cricket is so popular between us - Australia are going into a Test in India with a 1-0 lead. It does not matter if the fans, selectors, experts of the game give you a chance or not, the game does. Australia made the most of it and caught India napping in the first Test of the series. The pitch again will be the one in question as it looks for now like a turner which may be a better wicket to bat on than the one in Pune.

Matthew Wade and Mitchell Starc then frustrated the Indians with a 49-run stand but once Ashwin got rid of the latter, Jadeja ran through the Australian batting line-up taking 6/63. The Indians will be happy that they did not let the lead inflate much but will acknowledge that they could have done much better with some smart captaincy. The fast bowlers bowled their hearts out but were unlucky. All of them bar Jadeja bowled a lot of overs but the left-arm spinner rocked the visitors the most. They now have to bat better to stay in the game. A big second innings for them, stay tuned for their reply.

Australia began well and every batsman batted with patience for them as they stuck to their plans and batted not just time but also put up a good total on the board. Warner and Smith fell early but the pair of Renshaw and Marsh steadied the visitors. Both of them got out after getting to their fifties but Australia had done the hard work by then.

The hosts are trailing the game, thanks to their dismal first innings performance and are now staring at a historical comeback. Yes, they had a good day but Australia still managed to lose only six wickets which means more work for the already tiring Indian bowlers.

Jadeja was the pick of the Indian bowlers but was under bowled by the Indian skipper. He still managed to pick up three vital wickets which makes the move look even more bizarre. The Indians could count themselves unlucky as the edges didn't carry through but also need to blame themselves for missing out on the chances created. The home side was desperate and wasted their reviews yet again and it would need something special from their bowlers tomorrow to make the game even again.

A very good day from the Australian point of view. The batsmen have stepped into the act whenever needed. Every batsman except Mitchell Marsh spent time in the middle which proved to be the difference between the two teams. Shaun Marsh and Matt Renshaw both managed to bag a half century each which always kept the hosts under pressure. The visitors will want to pile on as many runs as possible to completely tilt the game in their favour.

A sensational session for the Australians - they lost a single wicket in 27 overs and also managed to score 74 runs. Jadeja was held back for long, for some reason and it was he who did the most of the damage. Renshaw hit him for a six but was stumped in the same over. Peter Handscomb came out positively but was superbly snapped by Ashwin at mid-wicket. The deficit for Australia though is only 26 runs and they will know the more they bat, the less they have to chase in the final innings here.

A superb finish to another very good session of Test cricket. India have just managed to stay in the game with the last wicket and it has been hard work for all. Shaun Marsh and Matt Renshaw batted with grit and determination for Australia. Renshaw got to his fifty and as Australia inched closer to the Indian total, the shots began to come from the visitors. That was probably what cost them a couple of wickets too.

Steven Smith and Matt Renshaw fought it out, countering the spin and low bounce on offer. Both the pacers for India, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav were brilliant. Ravindra Jadeja was held back but when he came in, he got rid of the big fish in Smith just before the break. Renshaw has fought well and will aim to continue his good work. Australia have only managed 47 runs in the session but they know they can score many if they play out some tight overs from India. Remember, the hosts only have four regular bowlers so they are bound to get tired at some point.

Also feels that Ashwin needs to change his lengths on a wicket such as this. Reckons that the Indians need to choke runs from one end as it is a really good wicket to bat on, from that end. Brett Lee adds that Lyon bowled on a length which was comparatively shorter to that bowled by Ashwin. Also emphasizes on the fact that Australia have six left-handed batsmen compared to India who have only two. Mentions the fact that the speed at which Lyon bowled yesterday and the revs he gave was the difference between him and the other bowlers.

Hello and a warm welcome for the Day 2 of the second Test match between India and Australia. Unlike what most pundits predicted, Australia have been the dominating force from the day they faced the Indian team in Pune. They made life even difficult for the hosts yesterday by bundling them out for a mere 189 and also played out half of the last session without any trouble. India, on the other hand, will want to bounce back with a complete bowling performance as they look to put the pressure back on the visitors. The Indians then were wayward trying too hard to strike with the ball. They are a long way behind, not just in this game but also in the series. They have lacked the intensity to strike back when pushed into a corner. They had someone stepping up for them against New Zealand, England but have been found wanting against Australia, who came well prepared.

That is as a good a day Australia would have wanted to have! They lost the toss yet managed to bowl India out and having done so in little over two sessions should please them the most. Nathan Lyon made most of the bounce and turn on offer and ran through the Indian batting line-up taking 8/50.
