    • Phew! Well, that's all from this long tour. The Indian team will return home now and host England for a long tour. 4 Tests, 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The Test series is set to begin on the 5th of February 2021. Australia, on the other hand, will travel to New Zealand for a 5-match T20I series which starts from 22nd February 2021. Join us for all those games. For now, we bid you goodbye! Cheers and take care!

    • That's quite a summary of the series! Let' talk about the entire tour too. Australia won the T20I series. India returned the favor by pocketing the ODI leg and now the Test series has been pocketed by the Indians.

    • And then came this game! Key players like Ashwin, Bumrah, Jadeja and Vihari were out of this game. There were bio-bubble saga. The crowd issues in Sydney as well but Rahane's men took them all on the chin. The bowling attack looked inexperienced but boy what a performance from them throughout this game. They punched above their weight and kept themselves in the game. And then the hero with the bat, Rishabh Pant turned things around like a rockstar for the Indians.

    • That didn't happen though. Ajinkya Rahane led the unit in absence of Kohli and what followed was some unimaginable performances from the Indian team. Rahane led the team to a victory in the 2nd Test at the MCG! Then came SCG! And then came the fighting spirit of the Indian team. Injured players battled the entire day for them and made sure the 2nd Test was drawn. A number of heroes emerged for the visitors in that game. Heroes who didn't play the final Test because of the injuries.

    • Let's rewind the Test series! Virat Kohli-led Indian side got crushed at Adelaide in the first Test. Yes, crushed! 36 all out. And once that happened, everyone predicted that it is going to be a whitewash, with Virat Kohli gone home to be with his pregnant wife. India also missed the services of Shami for the remainder of the series.

    • Time for the victorious Indian skipper to have a word. Rahane says that the win means a lot to them. Is proud that the boys were brilliant after the Adelaide debacle. Tells they knew Australia at home is a very dangerous team. He mentions that the way Pujara batted and handled the pressure was superb. In the end, Rishabh and Sundar did brilliant work. Mentions that they went with 5 bowlers and Sundar gave them the balance. Tell that Siraj and Saini did good work to handle the pressure. He also says that they just wanted to play good cricket and express themselves. The Melbourne win was the key moment for them. Thanks the fans who came to support them. The Indian skipper ends by gifiting a signed jersey by all the Indians players to Nathan Lyon for playing 100 Tests. A terrific gesture from the Indian skipper and the entire team.

    • Tim Paine, the Aussie skipper to talk now. He says that they were here to win the game and the series but they have been outplayed by the better side. Says India fully deserve the series win. Tells that they need to look back at a few things. Says that they wanted to set the total over 300 and push for the series win. Feels India turned up for the day, wore balls on the helmet, on the fingers and put their body on the line. Tells that their bowlers tried everything they had with them but they were outplayed by the Indians.

    • PAT CUMMINS WINS THE PLAYER OF THE AWARD! Tells that it was a good hard day of Test cricket. Praises Pant and the Indian batters and tells that they deserved to win. Says that he wanted the cracks to show a few more tricks than it did. Feels that they had the chance of winning the game in Sydney and here on the 5th day but they couldn't do so. Says that they didn't take enough wickets to win the match.

    • RISHABH PANT IS NAMED PLAYER OF THE MATCH FOR HIS SUPERB KNOCK! He starts by saying that this is one of the biggest days of his life. He credits the entire support staff. Tells that it has been a dream series for them. Adds that he has been practicing hard and it paid off here. Says that the management has always backed him and they keep telling him that he is a match-winner. Tells he always wanted to win the game for the team. On him playing patiently, Pant mentions that it was the 5th day's wicket and he needed to make sure his shot selection were correct.

    • Australia extended their lead with the openers giving a strong start. India, as they have been throughout the series, made another comeback with quick strikes. Smith's half-century and contributions from the lower order saw Australia give India 328. Siraj and Shardul put on an inspiring bowling performance with the former picking up his maiden Test fifer. The final session of Day 4 was cut short due to rain as just 11 overs were bowled in the 2nd Indian innings. You already know what happened on Day 5. India created history!

    • Rohit Sharma was looking in a good nick before throwing his wicket away towards the end of Day 2. Day 3 saw India get pushed further back as they lost the 6th wicket for 156. Then came the stand that has defined the Indian contingent this tour. Washington Sundar and Mohammed Siraj put on a brave fight and went onto make their debut half ton in the process of their 123-run stand. And they reduced the lead quite spectacularly. Josh Hazlewood was the main man for Australia who got a fifer. Playing his 100th Test, Lyon had a tough day, getting just a wicket in the innings.

    • Earlier in the game, Australia won the toss and opted to bat on a friendly batting wicket. The Aussies posted 369 in the first innings with Labuschagne hitting a ton and skipper Paine getting to a half-century. At one point, the Aussies were in a position to post an even bigger total but that didn't happen. The inexperienced bowling unit of India did well to bounce back on Day 2. Debutant Sundar and Shardul got 3 wickets apiece.

    • What about Australia? Well, they threw everything they had with them to the Indians. Cummins gave it his all. Lyon, the man playing his 100th Test did everything he could do but things just didn't fall in place for them. They were made to toil hard in the field and eventually, they failed to get past the inspired Indian batters.

    • But Pant is Pant! He is a dasher, they say. But boy, in this innings, he showed why India should back him. If not as a keeper-batsman, then purely as a batsman. What a sensational knock. He controlled his emotions early on when Lyon tossed the ball outside off. He backed himself to go for the big shots as and when needed and turned things around superbly for India. What a champion knock from this champion player. He got lucky too but remember, luck favors the brave.

    • Right! Let's talk about Day 5, the historic day! India needed 324 to win. Australia needed 10 wickets. The notion was that India might not want to go for the win as a draw will mean they keep the trophy. And they lost Rohit early. Gill and Pujara combined for a brilliant partnership.Right! Let's talk about Day 5, the historic day! India needed 324 to win. Australia needed 10 wickets. The notion was that India might not want to go for the win as a draw will mean they keep the trophy. And they lost Rohit early. Gill and Pujara combined for a brilliant partnership. Gill played a gem of an innings but fell 9 short of what could've been his debut ton. He went. But what about Pujara. Well, he hung in. Got hit everywhere on the body. Looked in pain but grinded it out and took India close along with Pant. Australia looked clueless. They opted for the second new ball. Cummins removed Pujara. Australia got an opening. Well, they might have thought so.

    • Phew! What a game! What a turnaround! The Indian team and the big contingent is thanking the fans who came in numbers to support the Indians, away from home. Shubhman Gill with the tri-colour in his flag. The young brigade of the team. It is the same team that was crushed for 36 in the first Test and then this. Walking with pride, all around the ground. Sensational! It is back-to-back series victory for India in Australia.

    • GRIT! COURAGE! CONFIDENCE! PATIENCE! FIGHT! You show all this and you win! And India have done that. They have breached the Aussie fortress at the Gabba! The Indians from the pavilion race to the middle and it is celebration time in the Indian camp. Pant is getting tightest of hugs from the Indian support staff. What a moment! What a performance. Take a bow, India!

    • End of over 97 ( 11 Runs )IND 329/7 96.6Josh Hazlewood to Rishabh Pant. FOUR, FOUR! Here's the winning runs! Here's the history! Here's Rishabh Pant! Josh wants to bowl it wide outside off. • We are back for the final session of this Test. The match is tantalizingly poised with India needing 145 runs to end Australian dominance of 31 years at the 'Gabba. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant are out in the middle for India. The Aussies are out too as they look to preserve their record of 31 years of unbeatability at the 'Gabba. Can they do it? Or will India breach their fortress? Action begins for the one last time on this tour as Josh Hazlewood streams into bowl.

    • ...  Day 5, Final session ...

    • Right! We have got a match in our hands. 37 overs to be bowled, weather permitting. India need 145 runs. Australia need 7 wickets. Pujara, the blocker is out in the middle. Pant, the dasher is there too. There's Cummins as well and so is Lyon. Both of them bowled decently in this session. But, do they have in them to do some magic with the ball in this final session? Or will the Indians be able to scale the total down and breach the Aussie fortress here at Gabba? We will find out all in the final session. Join us for the same in a short while.

    • The Aussies attacked relentlessly with the ball. They kept bowling bouncers. Gill had no issues dealing with it as he pulled and cut. In one of Starc's over, the Indians took 20 and pushed the Aussies on the back foot. However, Lyon prized out the wicket of Gill to deny him a hundred. Pujara was troubled by the Aussie quicks with nasty short bowling but they once again couldn't get his wicket. Cummins got the wicket of the Indian skipper to take some control in the game. However, once again, they were not at their best which can be confirmed seeing the runs they have given in this session.

    • The session started with Gill and Pujara battling it out as the Aussie quicks continued the barrage of short stuff. However, Gill and Pujara took them on and played a few superb strokes. Pujara got hit on the helmet, on the elbow, on the fingers. But the tough man continued the battle. Gill fell 9 short of a well-deserved ton. Rahane walked out with a positive mindset but couldn't carry on as he departed for 24 off just 22 balls. Pujara has continued his battle and has faced 168 balls for his 43. He has Pant for the company for the final session.

    • Another terrific session ends! Once again one would assume it is India who have edged out the hosts. They have scored 100 runs in 25 overs and have lost just 2 wickets. Pujara is continuing his vigil in the middle. With Pant at the other end, the third and final session of this Test match promises to be a cracking one!

Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubhman Gill walk out to the middle to start once again India's fightback after the break. The Australian players are out too and would be raring to go and have a crack at the Indian batting. Pat Cummins to start off the session.

    • ... Day 5, Session 2 ...

    • Right! India have done superbly well here! Now, another 62 overs left in the day, weather permitting. India need 245 to win the game. Will they try that with 9 wickets in hand? What about Australia? They will be disappointed. Surely. Can they strike early in the second session to open up the game? The second session of the game will most probably confirm the outcome of this game. Joins us for the same in a short while to find out.

    • It's been a toil for the Aussies in this session. They have got no support from the surface. And not many balls have misbehaved either. It was Cummins who struck for the hosts early with the ball as he removed Rohit Sharma. However, after that, Gill and Pujara managed to see off any threat. Cummins was superb in his 2nd spell too as he tested Pujara with a few nasty bouncers. They bowled over 36 overs in the session but the 2nd wicket just didn't come their way.

    • India lost Rohit Sharma early in the day but Gill looked in fine touch. The youngster played a few delightful strokes to get to his half ton. Pujara along with him battled hard. The duo has added 65 with Gill scoring most of the runs.

    • Another terrific session's play in this Test match and the series overall. Just how it has been through the series. India will take the honours of taking the session. • We are all set to begin the final day of this Test as Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill stride out to the middle. The Australian players are out in the middle too. Josh Hazlewood will finish off his over from overnight with one ball remaining.  98 overs to be bowled, India need 324 more for a win, Australia need 10 wickets. Here we go...

    • Shardul Thakur is down for the chat. Thakur says that he is good. Mentions that everything comes down to the final day. He mentions that Rahane just spoke general things as to play confidently. He also says that he enjoyed his batting. On the bowling, he says that he just tried bowling in the channel and get wickets. Further says that he got wickets in the first spell and that made it easy for him. He also says that swinging the ball is his forte and it comes to him naturally. Also says that you just don't come and win the series in Australia and says that they just look to win here or take out a draw today.

    • Pitch Report - Glenn McGrath says that there are quite a few cracks in the center and as seen yesterday Siraj used it to good effect. Ends by saying that the Australian bowlers would look to exploit those areas too.

    • What about the weather then? It is not raining currently but there was heavy overnight rain. Though the ground has dried up well as we have an on-time start. Still, the conditions are overcast and with a heavy cloud cover, the pitch could play a few tricks.

    • India played just 11 balls before the rain arrived to steal away any further possibility of play on Day 4. Still needing 324 runs for a win. What will be India's approach? If they win or draw they will keep the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. What about Australia's mindset? The 5th-day blunder of Sydney would be fresh in their memory as they would look for a win here and extend their dominance at the 'Gabba.

    • Then, Paine, Green, Cummins played cameos to take Australia to a lead of 327 runs. For India, with the ball, it was Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur. The former bagged his maiden Test 5-fer as the latter ended with a 4-wicket haul. In between, Sundar was impressive with the ball in the second innings too.

    • Coming to this Test, Day 4 saw a rain-marred last session but before that Australia unleashed their killer instincts with Warner and Harris going bonkers. Though both fell in quick succession, Smith continued his work as Labuschagne the centurion from the first innings departed for 25 as Wade followed him soon.

    • It's the final day of this long Australian tour. India have done well so far on the tour. Having lost the ODIs and won the T20Is. The tour further moved on to the coveted Test series. If the first was pocketed by Australia, then second was of India. Then a historic draw at Sydney meant that the final Test of this series was fought with the series on the line.

    • ... Day 5, Session 1 ...

    • Right! That's all the action from Day 4 And, in the days when we are seeing Tests getting wrapped up in 3 or 4 days, another Test in this series is going to Day 5. And to make things interesting, we still have the possibility of all three results. So, bring it on, Day 5. The action will begin at 0930 local (2330 GMT PREVIOUS DAY). Join us for all the action on Day 5 then. For now, we bid you goodbye. Take care!

    • The Indians came to bat for 1.5 overs. Rohit and Gill negotiated that without any trouble before rain revisited the Gabba and forced an early end to the day.

    • You got to credit the Indians again. They were pushed against the walls early on with Warner and Harris looking in full swing. Thakur provided the breakthrough and Sundar got better of Warner quickly. Before Labuschagne could play a big knock, his little cameo was cut short but a jaffa from Siraj who sent Wade packing in the same over. Siraj also removed well-set Smith for 55. However, it was more about Shardul in the 2nd session as he kept things tight at his end and got a couple of wickets too. Given the kind of experience this Indian bowling unit has, they deserve a lot of credit to not allow the Aussies to run away with the game. Siraj got his maiden fifer in the process while Shardul finished with a 4-fer.

    • It started with Warner and Harris going bang, bang! They added brisk runs and put the inexperienced Indian bowlers under pressure. However, they bounced back with quick wickets as Harris and Warner were removed in back-to-back overs. Labuschagne too fell after playing a few good strokes. Smith, continued his good form and scored a fine half ton before getting dismissed. Green and Paine too played handy knocks before the rain arrived. We eventually returned for the final session after a brief delay. The Aussie batters threw their bat at the ball and added a few more runs before getting bundled out for 294, setting India the target of 328.

    • And the final word has come! It is Stumps on Day 4! It looks like the rain has settled in for a long innings at the moment and seeing that the umpires have decided to call it over for the day. But a superb day of cricket nonetheless.

    • Update 1650 local (0650 GMT) - It continues to rain! Don't think we are getting any more play here on Day 4. Final words awaited.

    • Update 1636 local (0636 GMT) - And the rain has become heavier again. And off we go as the groundsmen come quickly to cover the wicket. Looks really overcast at the moment. This should be the end of day's play as we wait for the official word.

    • 1.4Josh Hazlewood to Shubman Gill. no run, Length ball around off, pushed towards mid on.

    • 1.1Josh Hazlewood to Shubman Gill. no run, Back of a length and around off and middle, Gill pushes it towards mid on.

    • 0.2Mitchell Starc to Rohit Sharma. no run, Shortish and just outside off, Rohit keeps it out.
