So that concludes the Super Sunday! Join us back for a single-header tomorrow as Kolkata take on Dolphins at Hyderabad.
Patel: 'I am happy to bowl in any situation. I batting and bowling well.'
Akshar Patel is the Man of the Match
Bailey: 'Great fightback by the bowlers, they were none for 60. It was a challenging wicket, it was holding up a little bit. He does a wonderful job throughout in the innings and does it in a short sleeve shirt which is a nice to see for a spinner. They (Akshar and Karanveer) are bowling well together.'
Vilas: 'We knew that we had to put a good total, especially against a strong batting unit. Unfortuanately we didn't get enough runs on the board. We were a little rusty at the start and were playing catch up all the time and it becomes very hard to recover in such a tournament. The spinners bowled beautifully, we tried everything but like I said, not enough runs on the board.'
Another comprehensive win for Bailey's boys. Though Amla and Levi got the Cobras off to a flier, Punjab took pace off the ball and put the breaks on the scoring rate. Akshar Patel and Anureet Singh bagged three wickets each and were backed up very well by Karanveer Singh. Chasing 136, Vohra and Sehwag started off in a positive manner but threw away their starts. However, Saha anchored the innings, while Maxwell and Miller played cameos to get Punjab past the line.
End of over 19 ( 8 Runs )MOH 139/3 18.1Hashim Amla to David Miller. FOUR, Punjab have won all their group games and they will now take on either Chennai or Lahore in the semi-final! Flatter delivery on the leg stump, Miller flicks it wide of mid-on and it raced away
Hashim Amla, right-arm medium, comes into the attack
End of over 18 ( 13 Runs )MOH 135/3 17.6Sybrand Engelbrecht to Wriddhiman Saha. SIX, Saha steps out of the crease and tonks Engelbrecht over long-off! Flighted delivery outside off stump, Saha got to the pitch of the ball and lofted this handsomely over the boundary
17.5Sybrand Engelbrecht to David Miller. 1 run, darted down the leg-side, Miller flicks it away to backward square leg
17.4Sybrand Engelbrecht to David Miller. no run, flighted delivery on the stumps, Miller defends off the front foot
17.3Sybrand Engelbrecht to David Miller. no run, arm-ball down the leg-side, Miller gets hit on the pad
17.2Sybrand Engelbrecht to David Miller. 2 runs, pulls but gets an under edge that ball rolls to mid-wicket and they scamper back for the second
17.1Sybrand Engelbrecht to David Miller. FOUR, Killer Miller has nailed this reverse sweep and it has gone right through Philander at backward point. Engelbrecht gave that a lot of air and that allowed Miller to execute the shot
End of over 17 ( 8 Runs )MOH 122/3 16.6Vernon Philander to David Miller. 1 run, top edge but it doesn't have enough legs to carry to Levi at fine leg! Miller was beaten for pace by this bouncer
16.5Vernon Philander to David Miller. no run, defends the good length delivery to cover
16.4Vernon Philander to David Miller. no run, good length delivery on the stumps, Miller defends off the front foot
16.3Vernon Philander to Wriddhiman Saha. 1 run, a fine yorker on the off stump, Saha clips it away to deep square leg
16.2Vernon Philander to Wriddhiman Saha. FOUR, good length delivery on the off stump, Saha slogs it uppishly over mid-wicket and picks up a boundary
30 runs for Wriddhiman Saha 16.1Vernon Philander to Wriddhiman Saha. 2 runs, full delivery outside off stump, Saha drives over mid-off, didn't get the middle of the bat but it's good enough for a couple
