That's it from this game. We now have the 4 teams for the semi-finals, it is Hobart, Kolkata, Chennai and Punjab. There is another game coming up. Switch tabs and join us for that game.
Mitchell Marsh: 'It was tight at the end. Such totals are never easy and they were excellent with the ball. Joel (Paris) has really announced himself in this tournament. I am sure Hogg will want to bat up the order. I had a tight hamstring and fingers crossed, it should be fine. It has been a fantastic experience. We had two close finishes and it was a great learning curve for us.'
Mitchell Marsh is the Man of the Match
Marsh, who was suffering with a niggle on his left leg, came in very late but played a superb knock to see his team through. He was well supported by the veteran, Brad Hogg, with whom he shared a 68-run stand for the 8th wicket. They needed that partnership to bail them out of trouble as they were reeling at 40/6.
Hafeez: 'Well, I think we were short on runs. Some of the batters played poor strokes, but the spinners kept us in the game. We put the pressure on ourselves by playing some bad shots. We have played some good cricket throughout the tournament. Most of the boys have got nice exposure by playing in front of such huge crowds. The dew came into play and the spinners found it difficult, Marsh's (Mitchell) innings also took the game away from us and it made the difference.'
Scorchers go home with a consolation win. Lahore lost the intensity once they were knocked out when the score went past 78. Until that time, Hafeez was brilliant with his captaincy and field placements. He set attacking fields and made the right bowling changes, but he just didn't have the score to defend. The spinners did the bulk of the bowling and shared 5 wickets between them.

18.3Wahab Riaz to Brad Hogg. SIX, that shot lights up all the faces in the Perth dug out. Banged in half way down the wicket, Hogg transfers his weight back and pulls it well over the deep mid wicket fence
