Babar Azam (C)st Jos Buttler b Adil Rashid 11 13 1 0 84.62
5.2
Adil Rashid to Babar Azam, OUT! STUMPED! Ohhh... he has done it again, has Adil Rashid! Pakistan's skipper goes cheaply. Frustration gets the better of the skipper. He had faced 12 balls until this delivery and scored just 11. He thought he could take Rashid on in the final over of the Powerplay. Stepped out and swung wildly but got consumed by the googly. Missed it comprehensively and the keeper, Jos Buttler, completed an easy stumping.
Sohaib Maqsoodc Jason Roy b Adil Rashid 13 12 2 0 108.33
8.1
Adil Rashid to Sohaib Maqsood, OUT! CAUGHT! Catching practice. Sohaib Maqsood throws it away again. Tossed up, around middle, Maqsood looks to gets under this and swing it over long on. But he is not quite able to hit it cleanly. Finds Jason Roy to perfection at long on. Second wicket for Rashid.
Mohammad Hafeezc Jonny Bairstow b Adil Rashid 1 2 0 0 50
8.4
Adil Rashid to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT! CAUGHT! Seems like the half tracker is not such a bad ball at Old Trafford, aye? Short, around middle, begging to be hit, Mohammad Hafeez rocks back and pulls. But he does not get enough of it at all. Hits it straight to Jonny Bairstow at deep square leg who takes it and then turns back to look at the crowd in celebration. 3 wickets in 10 balls for Rashid!
Fakhar Zamanlbw b Moeen Ali 24 20 1 1 120
15.2
Moeen Ali to Fakhar Zaman, OUT! LBW! Successful review for England and spinners are doing the job for the home side. The arm ball, around off, from around the wicket, Fakhar Zaman looks to work it to the leg side but misses and is hit on the pads. Moeen Ali appeals but the umpire stays firm. Buttler is not that confident, indicating height but Moeen believes this is out. Morgan trusts his bowler and goes for the review. Ball Tracker shows it to be hitting leg stump! End of a struggle for Zaman.
Shadab Khanc Liam Livingstone b Adil Rashid 2 5 0 0 40
16.6
Adil Rashid to Shadab Khan, OUT! CAUGHT! Rashid finishes with four! Short, outside off, Shadab Khan goes back and looks to pull. But the ball is short, turning away and slower in pace. As a result, Shadab has to drag it. He miscues it and gets a top edge. Liam Livingstone comes running in from deep mid-wicket and takes a simple catch. He then looks towards Jason Roy at long on and signals that the sun was in his eyes. Never easy, such catches. And not easy, is it, for a new batter to get going. 4-0-35-4 for Adil Rashid.
Imad Wasimrun out (Jonny Bairstow / Chris Jordan) 3 2 0 0 150
17.3
Chris Jordan to Imad Wasim, OUT! IMAD WASIM IS RUN OUT! Poor cricket from the southpaw. Short, outside off, Imad Wasim sliced it behind point. It seemed like it was in the gap but Jonny Bairstow gave it a good chase from sweeper cover to his right. He dived full stretch to his right and pushed the ball away. He then got up and returned the ball to Jordan who dislodged the bails at his end. England put in a formal appeal for a run out and as his duty, the umpire referred it upstairs. Replays showed that Jordan collected the ball, ran back and then threw it at the stumps, delaying it by a long time. Yet, Imad was short! Replays also show that Imad was jogging across and took the third after Bairstow threw the ball. Poor cricket.

Jason Royc Fakhar Zaman b Usman Qadir 64 36 12 1 177.78
10.5
Usman Qadir to Jason Roy, OUT! CAUGHT! The moment Roy hit that, his head was down. He is disgusted with himself and shakes his head while walking off. Slower through the air, outside off, floated as well, Jason Roy gets down and looks to play the slog sweep. But for that, he has to drag it from wide outside off. Gets a top edge which goes high up in the air. Fakhar Zaman gets under it at long off and makes no mistake. Roy is unhappy but he might have done the job. England need another 63 from 55 balls.
Jos Buttler (W)c Babar Azam b Shadab Khan 21 22 3 0 95.45
7.6
Shadab Khan to Jos Buttler, OUT! CAUGHT! Buttler finally falls after a scratchy knock. Full, outside off, Jos Buttler gets down and looks to slog this out of the park. But the slowness of the ball does him in and he skies this miles in the air. Babar Azam runs across to his right from long off and completes the catch. Dawid Malan walks in at number 3. England need 88 from 72 balls.
Dawid Malanb Mohammad Hafeez 31 33 2 0 93.94
18.4
Mohammad Hafeez to Dawid Malan, OUT! BOWLED! The match is still alive! The arm ball, straight, Dawid Malan backs away and looks to power this through the off side. But the ball pitches, skids through, beats the bat and hits the leg stump! Pakistan supporters roar. England still need 12 from 8. Super Over, anyone?
Jonny Bairstowc Sohaib Maqsood b Imad Wasim 5 8 0 0 62.5
13.2
Imad Wasim to Jonny Bairstow, OUT! CAUGHT! Bairstow falls too! Full, outside off, Jonny Bairstow stays leg side of the ball and looks to go inside out. But he gets a massive top edge due to the slowness of the delivery and Sohaib Maqsood takes a dolly at cover. Well, is the game turning? England need 51 from 40 balls.
Moeen Alib Mohammad Hafeez 1 3 0 0 33.33
14.6
Mohammad Hafeez to Moeen Ali, OUT! BOWLED! The Professor strikes! Slower through the air, around middle, Moeen Ali comes down the track and plays a cross-batted slog. Misses and the ball goes beneath the bat to hit the timber! England under pressure now, need 43 from 30 balls!
Eoin Morgan (C)c Shadab Khan b Hasan Ali 21 12 1 2 175
19.2
Hasan Ali to Eoin Morgan, OUT! CAUGHT! Morgan departs and Pakistan breathe again! A length ball, around middle, from around the wicket, Morgan shimmies down the track and looks to swing it to the leg side but the ball sticks onto the pitch. The shot is through early and the ball comes on late. It is miscued towards long on where Shadab Khan takes a sitter. Down to two new batters at the crease now. England need 4 from 4 balls!
Liam Livingstonec Sohaib Maqsood b Mohammad Hafeez 6 2 0 1 300
18.6
Mohammad Hafeez to Liam Livingstone, OUT! CAUGHT! 6 and gone for Livingstone. This was more of a free hit for Liam, as Morgan would have wanted strike for the next over. Hafeez realizes that too and tosses this slower through the air. Liam Livingstone is already through his almighty attempted slog and gets a top edge. Simple catch for Sohaib Maqsood at short third man. England need 6 from the final over. Mohammad Hafeez finishes with figures of 4-0-28-3!
