Man of the Match, Karn Sharma says this season has been going well because he has been working hard so is happy about that. Adds that he bowled slow since he wanted to take wickets for his team. Mentions that since they wanted to qualify for the finals, taking wickets was of utmost importance. Ends by saying that he doesn't really think about who is out of the team (Harbhajan Singh in this case) and just wants to contribute to the team's success.
Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma says that they have been working hard and says that they deserve to be in the finals. Mentions that a performance like this does a world of good to the confidence of a team. Reckons that their bowler's set the game for them. Applauds Karn Sharma for his brilliant spell tonight. Adds that every individual has stepped up and performed when mattered or called upon is the hallmark of their team. Applauds Bumrah for his wicket-taking magic. Adds that he executes the things what he has been told to do and he also makes some changes on the end. Praises Pune and mentions that they do not hold a good record against them but it would be an exciting final at Hyderabad.
Kolkata skipper, Gautam Gambhir says that they discussed after the last game that this wicket was not a 170-180 wicket and they should have targeted around 140. Credits Ishank Jaggi and Suryakumar Yadav for a good batting performance. Reckons that they hardly put pressure on any of the Mumbai bowlers as they kept losing wickets constantly. Mentions that he is proud of everyone as each and every guy gave it their all. Applauds Mumbai for their performance tonight. Feels that they had two chances to reach the top two but they messed it up so cannot talk about it. Ends by wishing Mumbai and Pune the best of luck for the finals.
Kolkata were never in this game. Earlier in their innings barring Ishank Jaggi and Suryakumar Yadav, nobody really did anything at all and that ultimately proved to be their undoing. One of the easiest matches Mumbai could have played, that too for a virtual semi-final.
Mumbai have gone through to the finals of the 2017 Indian T20 League with a dominating performance. First they bowled Kolkata out for a total of just 107 with Karn Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah leading the charge. It was then just a matter of time before their batsmen chased it down. Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya more or less got the job done with a 54-run stand with the latter added the finishing touches.
End of over 15 ( 10 Runs )MI 111/4 14.3Umesh Yadav to Krunal Pandya. FOUR, FOUR! Krunal finishes things off in style! A comfortable win for Rohit Sharma's men here. The fielder there runs to his right and puts in a dive, but can't exactly get to the ball. It goes through him and touches the rope. With this, MUMBAI WIN BY 6 WICKETS AND 33 BALLS TO SPARE!

He hammers this full delivery back past mid off and ends the over with a boundary. The left-hander seems to have pulled a groin muscle playing that shot. But he's done the job for his side. He just needs to stay out there.
