    • So that's all from us for today, Mumbai have carved their way into the finals where they will be meeting Pune at Hyderabad. Another exciting Maharashtra derby and Mumbai will be hoping that they can get their first win this season against them in the match which matters to the most. Should be an exciting game of cricket. Join us for all the action which starts on 21st May at 200 local (1430 GMT).

    • Man of the Match, Karn Sharma says this season has been going well because he has been working hard so is happy about that. Adds that he bowled slow since he wanted to take wickets for his team. Mentions that since they wanted to qualify for the finals, taking wickets was of utmost importance. Ends by saying that he doesn't really think about who is out of the team (Harbhajan Singh in this case) and just wants to contribute to the team's success.

    • Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma says that they have been working hard and says that they deserve to be in the finals. Mentions that a performance like this does a world of good to the confidence of a team. Reckons that their bowler's set the game for them. Applauds Karn Sharma for his brilliant spell tonight. Adds that every individual has stepped up and performed when mattered or called upon is the hallmark of their team. Applauds Bumrah for his wicket-taking magic. Adds that he executes the things what he has been told to do and he also makes some changes on the end. Praises Pune and mentions that they do not hold a good record against them but it would be an exciting final at Hyderabad.

    • Kolkata skipper, Gautam Gambhir says that they discussed after the last game that this wicket was not a 170-180 wicket and they should have targeted around 140. Credits Ishank Jaggi and Suryakumar Yadav for a good batting performance. Reckons that they hardly put pressure on any of the Mumbai bowlers as they kept losing wickets constantly. Mentions that he is proud of everyone as each and every guy gave it their all. Applauds Mumbai for their performance tonight. Feels that they had two chances to reach the top two but they messed it up so cannot talk about it. Ends by wishing Mumbai and Pune the best of luck for the finals.

    • Kolkata were never in this game. Earlier in their innings barring Ishank Jaggi and Suryakumar Yadav, nobody really did anything at all and that ultimately proved to be their undoing. One of the easiest matches Mumbai could have played, that too for a virtual semi-final.

    • Mumbai have gone through to the finals of the 2017 Indian T20 League with a dominating performance. First they bowled Kolkata out for a total of just 107 with Karn Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah leading the charge. It was then just a matter of time before their batsmen chased it down. Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya more or less got the job done with a 54-run stand with the latter added the finishing touches.

    • End of over 15 ( 10 Runs )MI 111/4 14.3Umesh Yadav to Krunal Pandya. FOUR, FOUR! Krunal finishes things off in style! A comfortable win for Rohit Sharma's men here. It's short on middle and off, Krunal makes room and looks to cut. It goes off the edge and flies towards third man. The fielder there runs to his right and puts in a dive, but can't exactly get to the ball. It goes through him and touches the rope. With this, MUMBAI WIN BY 6 WICKETS AND 33 BALLS TO SPARE!

    • 14.2Umesh Yadav to Krunal Pandya. no run, Goes for another yorker, ends up bowling a low full toss on off, Krunal wrists it to short mid-wicket for no run.

    • 14.1Umesh Yadav to Kieron Pollard. 1 run, Excellent yorker on off, Pollard jams it out in front of covers and takes a quick run.

    • 14.1Umesh Yadav to Kieron Pollard. wide, 1 run, Wide! False start. It's well down the leg side, wide signalled by the umpire.

    • Umesh Yadav is back for a bowl.

    • End of over 14 ( 14 Runs )MI 105/4 13.6Ankit Rajpoot to Krunal Pandya. FOUR, FOUR! Stand and deliver stuff from Krunal Pandya. He hammers this full delivery back past mid off and ends the over with a boundary. The left-hander seems to have pulled a groin muscle playing that shot. But he's done the job for his side. He just needs to stay out there.

    • 100 runs for MI 13.5Ankit Rajpoot to Kieron Pollard. 1 run, Tailing back in on middle and leg, worked away behind square on the leg side for one.

    • 100 runs for MI 13.5Ankit Rajpoot to Kieron Pollard. wide, 1 run, Wide! Way, way outside off, Kieron lets it be.

    • 13.4Ankit Rajpoot to Krunal Pandya. 1 run, From around the wicket, it's outside off on a length, run down to third man where Umesh Yadav makes a good tumbling stop running to his right.

    • 13.3Ankit Rajpoot to Kieron Pollard. 1 run, The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads. One run added to the total.

    • 13.3Ankit Rajpoot to Kieron Pollard. wide, 1 run, Wide! Spills it down the leg side, Pollard looks to clip but misses.

    • 13.2Ankit Rajpoot to Kieron Pollard. FOUR, FOUR! That's poor from de Grandhomme. Pollard pulls this away short ball which the square leg umpire just about manages to evade. Colin out in the deep runs to his right to get to the ball but lets it go right through him. Sums up Kolkata's night, really.

    • 13.1Ankit Rajpoot to Krunal Pandya. 1 run, Starts off from around the wicket, angles in a full delivery on middle and leg, Krunal picks it off his pads and flicks it to the left of Chris Lynn at mid-wicket for a run.

    • Ankit Rajpoot is into the attack now.

Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the all-important Qualifier 2 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, on Friday. MI, who finished the league stage on top, lost Qualifier 1 to Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS). KKR, on the other hand, have reached Qualifier 2 after defeating reigning champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) convincingly in Eliminator. This is the first time both teams will face each other in Qualifier 2. The winning team will face RPS in the final, on Sunday, at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

In the penultimate match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, the team placed third will take on the fourth-placed team in Qualifier 2. In the previous match, the team that finished first would have taken on the team that finished second. Last year, Gujarat Lions (GL) finished on top of the table with 18 points from 14 matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) rode on Virat Kohli’s form to finish second with 16 points from their 4 games. Lions lost their match to RCB in that match and consequently lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the eliminator to crash out of the tournament.

The winner of this match will then play in the eliminator against the team that lost the first qualifier. The winner of the eliminator will then take on the winner of Qualifier 1 in the final. This match is, therefore, a straight knockout. The losing team, therefore, does not get another chance, unlike the loser of the first qualifier. It, therefore, becomes all the more important for all the teams playing in this competition to try their best to finish in the top 2 as you get two cracks at qualifying for the final. In the previous season, GL, RCB, SRH and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) finished in the top 4.

KKR lost their match against SRH and as a result crashed out of the competition, while STH had another crack, taking on the loser of Qualifier 1 – GL. SRH managed to win the Eliminator against GL and went on to clinch the title against RCB in the final.
