England beat Ireland by 6 wickets
Man of the Match: David Willey

Ireland

Batting R B 4s 6s SR
Paul Stirlingc Eoin Morgan b David Willey 2 4 0 0 50
0.4
D Willey to P Stirling, OUT! Caught! Stirling falls right in the trap and the dangerous man is out in the very first over of the game. Early breakthrough for the hosts and Willey strikes. Good length ball on middle and leg, it comes in a bit. Stirling looks to flick but his top hand comes off the handle and he is a bit early in his shot. Hence he ends up hitting it uppishly straight to short mid-wicket who is there for this particular mistake. Eoin Morgan there makes no mistake and takes an easy catch. Terrible start for Ireland as they would have hoped their experienced campaigner to set the platform but he's failed to do that.
Gareth Delanyc Tom Banton b David Willey 22 16 5 0 137.5
6.2
D Willey to G Delany, OUT! CAUGHT! A soft dismissal there and hardly a reaction there from the England players. Willey get another one and this time it is Delany who departs. A wide ball outside off, Delany cuts and cuts hard. Tom Banton at point though goes to his right and takes a very good catch with the ball travelling fast. Ireland lose another wicket and they are in tatters here. They need a strong partnership from somewhere now.
Andy Balbirnie (C)c Jonny Bairstow b David Willey 3 7 0 0 42.86
2.1
D Willey to A Balbirnie, OUT! Caught! Willey strikes again and Ireland in big trouble in the third over itself. Full and wide outside off, Balbirnie's eyes lit up and he cannot resist the temptation to drive it. He goes for it and ends up getting a thick outside edge which goes straight to Bairstow behind the stumps. Ireland's two best and experienced batters are back in the pavilion without making much impact.
Harry Tectorb Saqib Mahmood 0 9 0 0 0
5.4
S Mahmood to H Tector, OUT! Chopped on! Not the start to his ODI career Tector would have been looking for as he walks out for a duck on his maiden outing! Good length ball just outside off, it is not wide or short enough to cut but Tector goes for the cut. He ends up getting an underedge which unfortunately for him goes onto hit the stumps. He looks at his uprooted off pole in disappointment. Mahmood gets his first of the game and the hosts are all over their neighbors.
Kevin O'Brienc David Willey b Adil Rashid 22 36 0 0 61.11
21.1
A Rashid to K O'Brien, OUT! CAUGHT! O'Brien is out of here! He was looking good but one would assume he has thrown his wicket away. A loopy ball outside off from Rashid, O'Brien fails to control himself and tries to go inside out but instead mistimes it straight to Willey at long off.
Lorcan Tucker (W)lbw b David Willey 0 1 0 0 0
6.3
D Willey to L Tucker, OUT! LBW! Willey gets another one and he is on a hat-trick now! Lorcan Tucker departs and half the side for Ireland is back in the hut. A good length ball around the leg pole line, it pitches and straightens. Tucker looks to defend but misses to get hit on the pads. England put in a huge appeal but denied by the umpire. After some waiting England go for the review. Ultra Edge shows no spike. Ball Tracker comes in and THREE REDS, it is pitching inside the line and hitting the leg pole. Ireland lose another one and O'Brien will be really worried at the non-striker's end.
Curtis Camphernot out 59 118 4 0 50
Simi Singhrun out (Tom Banton) 0 4 0 0 0
21.5
A Rashid to S Singh, OUT! RUN OUT! Another one bites the dust and Ireland are falling apart. There was never a run there. Rashid floats this full and just around off, Singh pushes it towards cover and takes off for a single. Campher says no but he has taken off. Banton gets to the ball and throws it to the keeper as Singh tries to get back. However, he has got a lot of ground to make and he falls short as Bairstow collects and whips the bails off.
Andy McBrinec Sam Billings b Tom Curran 40 48 3 1 83.33
37.6
Tom Curran to A McBrine, OUT! CAUGHT! GONE THIS TIME! The aggressive approach has cost McBrine his wicket. A short ball around off and middle, McBrine takes Curran on and goes for the pull but fails to connect. It goes towards deep square leg where Billings lunges forward to take the catch. The partnership is broken and England will be looking to end the innings as soon as they can now.
Barry McCarthyc James Vince b Saqib Mahmood 3 11 0 0 27.27
41.2
S Mahmood to B McCarthy, OUT! CAUGHT! Straight to the fielder. A length ball angled in, McCarthy flicks it powerfully. He thinks that he will clear the man but picks out Vince at deep square leg. Second wicket for Mahmood. Last man in for Ireland will be Craig Young. Can he manage to do what McCarthy could not and partner Campher till the end?
Craig Youngc Jason Roy b David Willey 11 14 1 0 78.57
44.4
D Willey to C Young, OUT! CAUGHT! There's the fifer! Willey is all smiles as he gets his first fifer in his ODI career. Another length ball around off, Young clears his front leg and tries to send it into orbit but the ball hits the toe end of the bat and balloons towards mid off. Roy there lunges forward and gobbles it nicely. IRELAND ARE ALL OUT FOR 172!

Jason Roylbw b Craig Young 24 22 2 1 109.09
5.3
C Young to J Roy, OUT! LBW! Gets his man this time. Dead plumb! Ireland are not giving up so early. They have send both the openers packing and would think they are clearly in the game. Slightly shortish in length, around off and middle, it hurries to the batsman as Roy fails to put bat on ball and gets hit on the pads. Ireland appeal and the umpire raises the finger. Roy doesn't think of review and keeps walking.
Jonny Bairstow (W)lbw b Andy McBrine 2 7 0 0 28.57
2.5
A McBrine to J Bairstow, OUT! LBW! Excellent review from McBrine and Balbirnie and Ireland have struck early. Do not go anywhere ladies and gentleman, Ireland have hope in this game. Beautiful delivery from McBrine. He bowls it slow and gives it a lot of air on off, Bairstow looks to defend but the off-break turns and he gets hit on the pad. McBrine and co. go up in an appeal but the umpire turns it down. McBrine and Balbirnie have a chat and the skipper decides to go for the review. Replay rolls in and Ultra Edge confirms no involvement of bat. Time for the Ball Tracker and it shows three reds. Bairstow has to walk back and Ireland have what the doctor ordered, an early wicket.
James Vincec Lorcan Tucker b Craig Young 25 21 5 0 119.05
9.5
C Young to J Vince, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Ireland and Young have another one. Vince got a start again, but like the way he has done throughout his career, Vince has thrown it away again. Slightly fuller ball outside off, Vince goes for a drive. The ball kisses the outside edge and goes into the mitts of the keeper. Tucker has an easy one and England lose their 3rd wicket.
Tom Bantonc Lorcan Tucker b Curtis Campher 11 24 1 0 45.83
13.4
C Campher to Tom Banton, OUT! Caught! Banton's out of here! Campher's debut keeps getting better and better. He got the better of Banton a couple of year's ago in the Under-19 World Cup when the pacer was wearing for South Africa's green now he has got him again while wearing the green of Ireland. Campher hits the deck hard around off, the ball raises a bit off the surface. That does Banton as he looks to pull but gets a top edge which lobs in the air and goes in front of the keeper. Lorcan Tucker takes a simple catch. 4 down for England and Ireland have an outside chance here for sure. England need 95 more.

The 23-year-old posted a Tweet from his official account saying, "Jabse Australia se aaya hoon gharwale peeche pade hain ki naya ghar le lo ab. Gurgaon sahi rahega?
