COMMENTARY
That is it from this game! The trophy is presentated to Stokes, he now walks towards his team to celebrate. A top show from England, not easy to come here in Pakistan and beat them and England have whitewashed the hosts. Brilliant! That is it from this game and this series. We hope you enjoyed our company. Ben Stokes says it has been the perfect tour for them. States they want to play in a certain way and they did but he is happy with how they adapted and everybody stood up when needed. Mentions he has a lot of belief in his teammates and that is what helps them to get the wins and all the players are quite confident. Ends by saying it was a team effort but Brook has been brilliant and Rehan Ahmed was excellent in this game and he is really happy for him.
Babar Azam says he is very disappointed, they were just not good enough but credits to the England side for the way they played. Adds they did not bat that well in the first innings, they were decent in patches but not good overall. Mentions it is difficult when your best pacer is not fit but he is happy with how his bowlers have bowled. Mentions there were a lot of positives but they need to improve.
Harry Brook, Man of the Match and Series, says it has been his best tour, nobody has won 3-0 and it is a top effort. States he was very annoyed when he got out to Abrar and he was happy to learn from his mistake.

Pakistan's problem in their second innings was they lost wickets in heaps, they began well with the bat but Leach then ran through the top order. Azam and Saud then put up a 100-run stand to change the tide in their favor again but it was then the Rehan Ahmed show, the youngster spun a web and bagged a fifer on debut. His spell absolutely killed the game as Pakistan only managed to give England a target of 167 which the visitors easily knocked off.
Right from Day 1 though England have shown great character in this game! They were asked to bowl on a flat wicket but they managed to bowl Pakistan out for an average score. Jack Leach was the star for England with a four-fer. FOr Pakistan, a few of their batters got off to starts but none went onto make it big and that is what they needed. However, despite not getting a big score, the Pakistan spinners came to the fore and had England five down for below 150. Harry Brook though along with Ben Foakes led the fight back, the two added over 100 and helped England take a slender lead.
Coming to the game now, this was never in doubt when Day 4 started, Pakistan needed something magical if they were to pull off a victory but the overnight batters, Ben Duckett and Ben Stokes ensured there are no wickets to fall and scored the remaining runs in no time.
WHITEWASH COMPLETE! England have yet again outplayed Pakistan, another stunning victory for a side which just seems unbeatable at the moment. A huge round of applause for Azhar Ali as he makes his way back to the pavillion, not the finish he would have wanted but he surely had a career to remember.

When Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel were batting, it looked like Pakistan will not give away this game easily but then came the debutant who bowled after almost 40 overs and went onto claim wickets of Azam, Saud Shakeel, Rizwan and Salman. That just kept Pakistan hanging on a single thread and eventually were bowled out. It was Jack Leach who handled the top order and then the youngster, Ahmed. The 'Bazball' is in full flow and England are just an hour's play away from the whitewash. What an innings this was from England. Chasing around 160, they have left minimal work for Day 4 as both, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett came out all guns blazing taking the spinners to the cleaners. The pacers calmed things down but the runs kept on coming somehow. Zak Crawley fell but Duckett along with his skipper will sleep cozily knowing the results are inevitable.

We are back. The players are out in the middle. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett to open for England. A small period for them to tackle. Here is Abrar Ahmed to bowl first.

So, 304 could be challenging if Pakistan bowl well. We have seen the ball turn and turn quite a lot. England however, have tackled spin brilliantly so far. Can they tackle this nervy period which is going to come up now? We will find out.
Pakistan will be disappointed with that effort. After electing to bat, they would have been aiming for something over 400 and there were times in this innings where they did find themselves in a strong position but kept losing wickets at crucial times. The Azam run out was crucial, had he stayed longer, maybe above 350 would have been scored.
The key for the visitors was they always managed to pick wickets when the game was drifting away. The two spinners were excellent. Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed were arguably the picks. The pacers also did a handy job, they managed to keep the pressure on. Stokes will be a happy man after being asked to field.
Pakistan have managed to cross the 300-run mark. Really not sure though if this is a good total or not but we feel it is a competitive one. However, it will be England who will be the happier of the two sides at the moment.

Salman calls for a quick single and Azam is hesitant at first but then runs across. The fielder picks up and throws it to Foakes, the keeper who had to collect on the other side of the stumps. He runs, picks one-handedly and whips the bails off. A session that England will be happy with. They have taken two wickets in this session on a flat pitch. This session was more for spinners. Rehan Ahmed came back nicely as he bowled much better than in the opening session and got his debut wicket as well. Mohammad Rizwan was hoping for a big stay but gave away his wicket. England stayed in the game and got their rewards while for Pakistan, it is Babar Azam who is keeping the score ticking. He is batting very well but needs Salman to give him a helping hand. The start though was not the best for them as they lost two before 50. Ali and Azam though steadied the ship with a 50-plus stand. The two looked at ease out there and it seemed like this session would finish in the favor of Pakistan but at the stroke of the break, Ollie Robinson struck a crucial blow to get England back into the game.

Now pakistan's first aim will be to knock this off with losing a wicket and then bat long, still lot of time in the game and Pakistan would want to give England a big total. England on the other hand, will hope to take a wicket or two before Stumps.
Pakistan will be disappointing at conceding the lead! Their spinners bowled really well to begin with to dismiss the top five quickly but once the ball got really soft, it was hard work for them, they though even failed to contain the runs when Brook and Foakes were batting. However, they will still be happy with not letting the visitors run away with the game. Nauman Ali was the pick , Abrar Ahmed was good and Mohammad Wasim impressed on his debut.
A really good batting effort from England and they have Harry Brook and Ben Foakes to thank! A few of their top order batters got off to starts but did not make it could. They were struggling at one time when Stokes was run. They were trailing by over 150 but these two put on a brilliant 100-plus run stand. Brook scored a ton and Foakes scored a fine fifty. Brook fell but Foakes continued. Along with the tail and with a lot of help from Wood, he took his side past Pakistan's total. England will be very happy with where they are placed in the game despite it being just a slender lead.

For Pakistan, it has been hard work, the pitch seems to have lost its zip, there is a turn but slow turn. The spinners do not look threatening. Pakistan though will be hoping this break works in their favor and they get a wicket after it. They would be hoping for some sort of a lead! Do they have a hero in them? Stay tuned for the final and what could be a very important session.
That is a solid partnership for the visitors and from being onto the back foot, they have stormed back into the game! The session did not start all that well for them as they lost Stokes early but since then, it has been all England. Both Foakes and Brook have looked untroubled. Brook got up yet another ton, his excellent tour continues and Foakes is nearing his half ton. England still trail by 50 and they would be hoping these two can knock these runs off.

Pakistan went for the spin as there was not much for the pacers. At the start, they were not disciplined but the Pakistani bowlers grew as the game progressed. Both, Abrar and Ali bowled in tandem and the latter got two wickets in two balls. Pakistan will be happy with how things have gone till now. The spinners have to toil more as they will be the ones looked upto for wickets. England trail by 164 runs at the break. A fascinating opening session has ended. We feel England will come with more intent after the break. Join us back after the break for the second session.
So, 133 runs were scored in this session but England have lost three wickets as well. They will be happy they are going in the break with a back of a good stand building between the skipper and Brook. Both have certainly been a bit more aggressive than we saw from the other batters. England started Day 2 with Pope and Ben Duckett. Both looked composed but the latter fell later on. Pope too fell after getting his fifty. Brook was then joined by his skipper who is scoring runs freely and will look to continue further.

So, an eventful final period of Day 1 and have to say, that wicket of Zak Crawley has just pushed Pakistan on top in this match. Pakistan will be happy after how things went out. After electing to bat first, they didn't have a good start but the knock from Azhar Ali and Saud Shakeel turned out to be handy. It was the stand between Azam and Salman that flourished. Pakistan were in a really good position at that time but lost Azam through a run out. Salman too after his fifty fell and Pakistan bundled out just over 300. England had to play a tricky period and in that process lost Zak Crawley, which they will be very disappointed.
