James Vincec Fakhar Zaman b Shaheen Afridi 33 32 7 0 103.13
7.3
S Afridi to J Vince, OUT! Vince holes out. A good short ball, around middle, James looks to pull but the bounce does him in. Gets a top edge which balloons towards deep square leg. Fakhar Zaman runs to his left from deep backward square leg and takes it calmly. Vince will be disappointed. Again, he got a start but failed to convert.
Jonny Bairstowc Shaheen Afridi b Imad Wasim 32 21 6 0 152.38
11.2
I Wasim to J Bairstow, OUT! Caught! 'Oh no! England won't get to 500 now,' cries my colleague Predicto. Hard luck. But is he so sure? 495 runs in 39 overs. With this England batting line-up, isn't ANYTHING possible? Anyways, Bairstow throws it away. And he does not look too disappointed. Because every English batsman is simply looking to enjoy himself and score runs at will. Full on middle, Bairstow looks to go through the line but does not quite connect cleanly. Finds Shaheen Afridi at long on who does not have to move an inch.
Joe Rootc Asif Ali b Mohammad Hasnain 84 73 9 0 115.07
35.3
M Hasnain to Joe Root, OUT! Root holes out! He did not get enough power on that shot. A short ball outside off, Root pulls this over mid-wicket. Wanted to hit a biggie but just did not get the power on that. The ball goes right down the throat of Asif Ali in the deep there. End of a really entertaining innings from England's maestro. Misses out on a well-deserved 100!
Eoin Morgan (C)c Abid Ali b Shaheen Afridi 76 64 4 5 118.75
29.3
S Afridi to E Morgan, OUT! Morgan has fallen to a short delivery! Double Nelson strikes. The English skipper tries to fetch the delivery from wide outside off and play the pull shot but it takes the top edge and flies in the air. Abid Ali runs across to his left from mid-wicket and completes the catch. A massive breakthrough for Pakistan to break the 117-run stand. The short ball has done the trick again, 2nd time in this innings. Maybe a ploy for teams to use in flat decks such as these. Meanwhile, Shaheen celebrates again like Shahid Afridi used to do.
Jos Buttler (W)c Abid Ali b Imad Wasim 34 34 4 1 100
38.1
I Wasim to Jos Buttler, OUT! Big wicket! Huge moment in the game! This could be the difference between a 360 and a 400! Shorter one outside off, Buttler looks to cut it but fails to keep the ball down. It flies to the left of point where Abid Ali reaches out and holds on to a sharp catch. This could be Pakistan's big opportunity to come back and limit England to a total that they can realistically chase down with Buttler gone and two relatively new men out in the middle.
Ben Stokesc Fakhar Zaman b Hasan Ali 21 29 2 0 72.41
45.5
H Ali to Ben Stokes, OUT! Ben falls. Pakistan are doing very well by taking wickets at regular intervals. Hasan Ali delivers it with a scrambled seam and digs it in short on middle. Stokes takes on the challenge to pull it into the stand at long on but fails to generate enough power behind his shot. The ball balloons in the air and Fakhar Zaman moves swiftly across to his left from long on to complete the catch safely.
Moeen Alilbw b Imad Wasim 0 2 0 0 0
38.3
I Wasim to M Ali, OUT! Three reds and Moeen Ali has to depart. He will take the review along with him as well. He has been caught plumb in front, missing a pretty straightforward off spinner by playing down the wrong line. A flatter off spinner landing outside off and spinning into the southpaw, Moeen looks to push the ball down the ground but misses the line completely. He does not get bat on it and gets rapped in front of the wickets. The appeal comes up and so does the finger after a bit of thinking. Moeen reviews in hope but it does not save him as the replays show us he was a dead duck. Third wicket for Imad, he is being a hero here.
Chris Woakesc Babar Azam b Shaheen Afridi 13 18 0 0 72.22
44.1
S Afridi to C Woakes, OUT! Woakes goes now! Shaheen has three now. A fuller length ball on off, Chris looks to smash this one but the bat twists in his hand and the ball goes off the inside half. It lobs towards mid off where Babar Azam takes an easy catch. This is a terrific fightback from Pakistan!
David Willeyb Shaheen Afridi 14 11 0 1 127.27
48.5
S Afridi to D Willey, OUT! You miss, I hit! A fuller one on off, Willey backs away and looks to hit the ball but misses it completely. The ball goes on to knock the off stump. Good bowling to the lower order batsman. That is Afridi's 4th wicket, he has been expensive today but he has picked up important wickets too.

Fakhar Zamanc Joe Root b Chris Woakes 0 3 0 0 0
0.3
C Woakes to F Zaman, OUT! Zaman bags a 3-ball duck and it's a body blow to Pakistan in this big run chase. Woakes once again takes a good length ball outside off away from the left-hander with his angle. Fakhar Zaman with zero footwork has a tame poke inside the line and gets a healthy outside edge to second slip. Joe Root reacts quickly to his right and snaps the catch easily, no juggling drama this time around like in the previous ODIs.
Abid Alilbw b Chris Woakes 5 9 1 0 55.56
2.3
C Woakes to A Ali, OUT! LBW! Umpire's call. The ball is just clipping the leg stump. Abid has to depart but Pakistan retain their review. On a good length outside off, Ali walked across his stumps and missed his flick. He was hit on the pads and umpire Reiffel raised his finger. Ali seemed to reckon that it was missing leg though Babar was not sure. However, the review was taken and Hawk Eye showed the ball to be clipping leg stump.
Babar Azamrun out (Jos Buttler) 80 83 9 1 96.39
26.2
A Rashid to S Ahmed, OUT! Adil Rashid has done an MS Dhoni! Not looking at the stumps but still hitting them with precision. A run out against the run of play and that looked the only way England could have broken this 146-run partnership. Coming to the delivery, it's a flighted one on middle, Sarfaraz tries to flick but misses and is hit on the pads. The ball rolls on the leg side and Babar Azam comes out of the crease in search of a run. He is sent back immediately but before that Jos Buttler quickly gets to the ball and fires in the throw at the bowler's end. But it's quite wide. Adil Rashid collects it by stretching to his right, turns, has his back to the stumps but still manages to flick it onto them. They appeal and the umpire goes upstairs. The replays find Azam well short of the crease. Rashid magic here, not with his delivery but at least with his presence of mind.
Mohammad Hafeezlbw b Chris Woakes 0 3 0 0 0

C Woakes to M Hafeez, OUT! Second wicket in the over, second LBW in the over! Woakes is on a roll. Three wickets in 12 balls! On a good length around middle, Hafeez was in the air while trying to flick but missed and was hit on the pads. Woakes appealed and umpire Reiffel immediately raised his finger! Hawk Eye showed the ball to be going down the leg side and going over too! Why didn't Hafeez take the review? Did he feel that Abid had taken the review along with him?
Sarfaraz Ahmed (C) (W)run out (Jos Buttler) 97 80 7 2 121.25
31.5
M Ali to S Ahmed, OUT! Sarfaraz has been run out! On 97! Would you believe it? Aiming to guide it towards third man and run, only to see the ball hitting Buttler's leg and stop and then - off go the bails - khadoosh! Landed outside off, Ahmed looks to run it down to third man. Jos Buttler sticks out his right leg and luckily for him, it deflects onto his left boot. Sarfaraz is out of his crease and tries to get back in but by that time, Buttler takes the bails off! It is referred upstairs but replays show that the bat, being plonked, is in the air when the bails are off! Tough luck for Ahmed. He departs 3 short of a ton.
Shoaib Malikc & b Adil Rashid 4 12 0 0 33.33
30.6
A Rashid to S Malik, OUT! An excellent return catch and Malik is out of here! Full and around off, Malik looks to push it back but Rashid keeps his eyes on the ball, dives full stretch to his left and takes a stinger! Every time Pakistan look to make a move, they lose a wicket. The challenge is getting tougher now...
Asif Alic Ben Stokes b David Willey 22 17 2 0 129.41
39.3
D Willey to A Ali, OUT! Caught. There goes wicket number 8. A short ball, outside off, Asif looks to pull but cannot quite get underneath the ball. He mistimes it and it tamely lobs up to Ben Stokes at mid on. He just has to backtrack a step or two and takes it easily. Replays show that Willey might have just changed his grip on the ball.
Imad Wasimc Jos Buttler b Chris Woakes 25 21 3 0 119.05
36.6
C Woakes to I Wasim, OUT! It is bat! Imad goes and takes the review along with him. Not that it would have mattered... Down the leg side, Wasim looked to tuck it fine but missed. Buttler dived to his right and took a good catch. To us, it seemed like there might have been just pad but there also seemed to be a woody sound. Woakes and Buttler were very confident and the umpire raised his finger. Now here is the surprise. Imad took the review but then looked dejected. Ultra Edge detected a spike when the ball passed the bat and also around the thigh pads. The wonderful day for Woakes gets even better. Three wickets with the new ball and now one, in his second spell.
Hasan Alic David Willey b Chris Woakes 11 10 1 1 110
40.1
C Woakes to H Ali, OUT! Caught! FIFER FOR CHRIS WOAKES! His third in ODI cricket. What a day for him. Struck with the new ball and now is finishing it off. A short ball, outside off, Hasan looked to pull but was beaten by pace. He had his eyes closed too while playing that stroke. As a result, a top edge was induced which went towards long leg. David Willey was waiting there and got down on a knee, taking the catch gracefully.

A Rashid to M Hasnain, OUT! STUMPED! Game, set and match. More flight from Rashid, Hasnain comes down the track and looks to swipe against the line. He misses but Buttler doesn't. Easy stumping. ENGLAND WIN BY 54 RUNS AND CLEANSWEEP PAKISTAN 4-0!
