Rory Burnslbw b Keemo Paul 29 103 1 0 28.16
32.2
Paul to Burns, OUT! No bat there and that is PLUMB! Excellent use of the review there by the Windies and Keemo Paul once again strikes very early in his spell. Good bowling change too. He bowls it slightly fuller and around middle, Burns looks to play across the line which brings about his down fall. The ball straightens a touch, seems to have gone past the bat and hits the front pad. An appeal follows but the umpire shakes his head. Keemo Paul convinces his captain to go for the review. Brathwaite signals the 'T'. Replays show nothing on Ultra Edge and three reds on Hawk Eye. Burns gritty knock comes to an end and both the openers back in the hut.
Keaton Jenningsc Darren Bravo b Keemo Paul 8 43 1 0 18.6
16.1
K Paul to Jennings, OUT! Edged and taken this time! At long last, after what seemed like endless hours, with every minute promising a wicket, the Windies have got one. Keaton Jennings was not using his feet much throughout this innings and this time, he has to use them to transport himself back to the pavilion. The change of ball does the trick. Full and outside off, there to be driven, Jennings cannot resist. He goes for the drive, after being so patient for 76 minutes. But no feet movement brings about his downfall. A thick edge is induced on the outside and it goes straight into the bread basket of Darren Bravo at first slip. No mistake made and Paul is the first to strike.
Joe Denlylbw b Shannon Gabriel 20 50 2 0 40
33.2
Gabriel to Denly, OUT! Three reds and now England too have lost a review. Not sure why Denly reviewed there, that was plumb, only bat could save him. Windies won't care though as one wicket has brought another for them. Both the set batsmen are back in the hut now. Length delivery this, it is pitched around off and it skids through. Denly goes back and tries to keep it out but ends up playing outside the line. The ball hits the front pad and an appeal, a loud one from the slip cordon but a tame one from Gabriel. The umpire though raises his finger. Denly after a chat with his skipper goes for the review. Replays show that the on-field call is the right one. England suddenly in a spot of bother here.
Joe Root (C)c Shane Dowrich b Alzarri Joseph 15 54 2 0 27.78
47.5
A Joseph to Joe Root, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! That surely must have been a feather there. The appeal wasn't a loud one, also we here too did not hear anything. Windies will rejoice though as they have got the English skipper. A soft dismissal to be honest. It is short and outside off, Root looks to cut with no foot movement. It takes the faintest of edges and goes to the keeper. A stifled appeal follows and the umpire agrees. Root also walks back without taking the review so there surely might be an edge. His poor string of scores continues and a crucial breakthrough for Windies. This is Root's 7th consecutive innings without a half century for Root, his worst run in Test cricket so far. Also, replays later on show, it is the toe-end and not the outside edge.
Jos Buttlerb Shannon Gabriel 67 127 9 0 52.76
85.1
Gabriel to Jos Buttler, OUT! Timberrrr... A 146 kph delivery by Shannon Gabriel has done the trick. He spears it on a length around off and gets it move back in a bit. Buttler plays all around it with a sorry footwork. It goes right through the gate and shatters the stumps. The 125-run stand is broken and Windies have a perfect start to the morning.
Ben Stokesc Shane Dowrich b Kemar Roach 79 175 8 0 45.14
93.6
K Roach to Stokes, OUT! Dowrich has taken a stunner! Wow, great athleticism. Roach gets a breakthrough. He delivers a short one outside off, Stokes shapes up for the pull shot but it arrives late to catch the top edge. It balloons in the air towards square leg, Dowrich wears his skates and scoots towards it and then completes the catch with a full length dive. Maybe, he realized late that he has to go for it as fine leg would not have reached it. Still does a brilliant job not only to get there but grab it well. Superb. The Windies players mob him. Gabriel in fact gives a frog-splash to Dowrich who was lying flat on the ground. Jason Holder in the pavilion is clapping. Stokes returns but not before playing a good hand.
Jonny Bairstow (W)b Kemar Roach 2 33 0 0 6.06
99.5
K Roach to Bairstow, OUT! TIMBERRRR! The yesteryear old 2-card trick works for Roach. After bowling a short ball previously, he cunningly slips in a full ball. Clearly, Bairstow is not expecting it as he is late on the drive. Because the ball is not pacy, at least, according to the speed gun. It reads 133 kph. But he is still late on the drive. It swings back in, takes the inside edge, hits the pads and boom. Into the stumps. So Bairstow was dropped on 2 and has been dismissed on 2. His poor run continues...
Moeen Alic Darren Bravo b Alzarri Joseph 13 22 0 0 59.09
100.2
A Joseph to M Ali, OUT! Edged and taken! Alzarri's toil fetches him rewards. Moeen is gone now. A length ball outside off, Ali cannot control his fishing earnestness and pokes at it. A thick outside edge results and Darren Bravo completes the formalities at first slip. Might have been some extra bounce on that ball which eked the edge.
Mark Woodc Alzarri Joseph b Kemar Roach 6 4 0 0 150
101.3
Roach to M Wood, OUT! Spectacular running catch! Alzarri, boy, you are one gem of a kid. Bowls with heart, plenty of pace, plenty of dedication and give your 100 percent in the field. A surprise short ball from Roach, given that the ball is swinging so much. But Wood is ready for it and instinctively goes for the pull. However, he is done in by it and gets a top edge. For a second, it seems like it will clear the boundary but Joseph runs to his right from fine leg and makes a difficult catch look simple. And better - NO reaction from him at all. Has been a difficult week for him.
Stuart Broadnot out 0 4 0 0 0
James Andersonc Keemo Paul b Kemar Roach 0 2 0 0 0
101.5
K Roach to Anderson, OUT! Bounced out! Who is this bowling? Mitchell Johnson? Dale Steyn? Pat Cummins? No. It is Kemar Roach. It is THE Kemar Roach whom we know of. Not that same pace but deadly accurate. A short ball, from around the wicket, right at the body. Anderson has nowhere to go as he simply fends at it. Gets hit on the glove and the ball just lobs to third slip where Keemo Paul does the rest. No wicket for Roach on Saturday - 4 on Sunday! ENGLAND ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 277.

Kraigg Brathwaite (C)c James Anderson b Moeen Ali 12 50 1 0 24
18.3
M Ali to Brathwaite, OUT! Caught! A wicket out of the blue! What a wonderful field placement. Just one man out in the deep on the leg side. And Brathwaite exhibits his fielding coaching skills to perfection. Finds that man and hands him some catching practice. Only James Anderson was stationed in the deep - at widish long on, almost near mid-wicket. Brathwaite comes down the track and looks to go straight. However, with the ball drifting, the bat turns in his hand and goes towards Anderson. He comes running in a few paces and takes it comfortably. The 57-run stand is broken at last.
John Campbelllbw b Moeen Ali 41 63 3 1 65.08
18.4
M Ali to Campbell, OUT! Two in two for England! And it is not Broad. Not Anderson. But Moeen. Out of nowhere. Both openers dismissed in quick succession. Pretty straight ball, fuller in length, Campbell comes forward and plays all around it, looking to flick. Misses and that looks plumb. Umpire Dharmasena thinks long and hard and then raises his finger! Campbell has a chat with Hope and takes the review. Well, replays suggest that it might be a bad call. Because one could see the leg stump. And Hawk Eye does not justify his call either. Crashing into leg. Wicket and review, both lost. The match kicks into life again. All of a sudden, Holder-less Windies trail by 220 runs with 8 wickets in hand.
Shai Hopec Rory Burns b Mark Wood 1 9 0 0 11.11
21.5
M Wood to S Hope, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Wood strikes gold straightaway! Just the start he would have wanted on his comeback. Bowls it full and around off, Hope looks to drive but ends up playing inside the line. The ball flies of the outside edge and towards gully. Burns takes it. Wood already seems to make a difference here. The X-factor England were missing seems to be visible here in Wood's first five balls. Windies now in big trouble here.
Darren Bravoc Joe Root b Mark Wood 6 30 1 0 20
29.2
M Wood to D Bravo, OUT! Four-fer for Mark Wood! Darren Bravo's resistance comes to an end. Excellent bowling this, the short ball on the last delivery to push the batsman on the back foot and then the fuller one to get him out. It is on off, Bravo is neither forward nor back as he tries to keep it out with a tentative push. The ball takes the outside edge and goes to the right of Root at first slip. The England skipper, reacts late but manages to hold on, in the second attempt. Into the lower-order now are the Englishmen.
Roston Chasec Rory Burns b Mark Wood 0 1 0 0 0
21.6
M Wood to Chase, OUT! Two-in-two for Wood! Why was he held back for 21 overs? His sheer pace is doing the trick for England. Roston chase bags a golden duck. Pace and bounce here gets the better of the tall batsman. It is on off and it skids through. Chase tries to defend but the ball flies off the outside edge and goes towards fourth slip. Burns takes a sharp catch. Windies are 59 for 4 from 57 for 0. They trail by 218 more.
Shimron Hetmyerc Joe Root b Mark Wood 8 15 1 0 53.33
27.1
M Wood to S Hetmyer, OUT! Dropped, no caught! Wood has another one and Windies have half their side back in the hut. Hetmyer falls in the last over before Tea. Once again the pace and the zip off the surface proves to be a Windies batsman's downfall. It is slightly short and outside off, Hetmyer who was beaten a couple of times before this, finally edges one as he again hangs his bat out again. The ball takes a fat outside edge and goes to Root at first slip. He takes it on the second attempt. Hetmyer starts walking back but then is asked to wait as they want to check for the no ball. Replay shows it is fine. Hetmyer has to continue his walk back and he is followed by the England players as it is TEA ON DAY 2!
Shane Dowrich (W)lbw b Stuart Broad 38 56 6 0 67.86
45.2
Broad to Dowrich, OUT! Superb review from Broad and England and Dowrich is adjudged LBW! First wicket for Broady. It is landed on a good length around off and Dowrich gets across to defend. But this does not come in with the angle. Instead it straightens slightly after pitching and squares Shane up as he looks to defend. Is hit on the pads and Broad appeals but the umpire is unmoved. Broad feels this is out and convinces Root to go upstairs. Root does so and lo! Hawk Eye shows it to be dead plumb! An enterprising stand of 41 comes to a close. Fine knock from Dowrich. Windies trail by 132 now.
Keemo Paulst Jonny Bairstow b Moeen Ali 9 12 2 0 75
34.3
M Ali to Paul, OUT! STUMPED! The bowling change works wonders. Ali gets his third and now England are into the bowlers. Tossed up outside off, Paul dances down the track but does not get to the pitch of the ball. He looks to defend but does so for the turn. There ain't any, the ball goes past the outside edge. Bairstow behind the stumps, collects it and whips the bails off in a flash.
Kemar Roachnot out 16 43 1 0 37.21
Alzarri Josephc Stuart Broad b Moeen Ali 2 6 0 0 33.33
46.3
M Ali to Joseph, OUT! In the air... what a catch. Ho ho ho, that is a screamer there. Ali tosses this up around off, Joseph goes for the slog but ends up playing it against the angle. He ends up getting it off the outer half. It goes high in the air towards mid off. The batter though would feel, he might just get away with this one. Broad however, runs backwards and then sticks his right hand out and the ball sticks. He then tumbles over and gets up with a big smile. He is now mobbed by his teammates. 4th for Moeen Ali and they are now one wicket away from wrapping this innings.
Shannon Gabrielb Mark Wood 4 2 1 0 200

Wood to S Gabriel, OUT! BOWLED! Wood wins the race of the fifers! Full and straight, perfect delivery to a tail-ender, Gabriel swings and misses. The ball hits the stumps and ENGLAND HAVE A LEAD OF 123.

Rory Burnsc Alzarri Joseph b Keemo Paul 10 22 0 0 45.45
10.1
K Paul to Burns, OUT! Wicket first ball! What a start for Windies! Paul runs in from 'round the wicket and angles in a length ball on middle, Rory leans forward and across to play the flick shot but fails to keep it down. Alzarri Joseph is strategically placed there at square leg and he takes a fine low catch. Keemo is smiling and a dejected Burns is on his way back. A soft dismissal really.
Keaton Jenningsb Alzarri Joseph 23 99 2 0 23.23
27.1
A Joseph to K Jennings, OUT! BOWLED AROUND HIS LEGS! That is some way to lose a wicket. Pitched outside leg and Jennings gets a good stride forward to flick. But he is not at all to the pitch of the ball. Perhaps he expects the ball to come around middle. However, it is not coming in that much. He misses his flick and the ball hits his back thigh, which barely moves. Now comes the misfortune. The ball then deflects onto the stumps. That is sheer bad luck. He was dismissed in a similar fashion against India in the first Test back home. For a change, Jennings gets dismissed in a manner other than driving and edging. The 54-run stand is broken and England are effectively 196/2!
Joe Denlyc Shane Dowrich b Shannon Gabriel 69 99 11 0 69.7
45.5
S Gabriel to Denly, OUT! Big wicket for the Windies. It was a much-needed one for them. It was bowled short and wide outside off, Denly looks to cut it but gets beaten due to lack of footwork. He gets a bottom edge and Shane Dowrich takes a comfortable catch. England lose their third wicket. The partnership is broken. It was a 74-run stand. End of a good knock from Joe Denly. England lead by 270 runs.
Joe Root (C)c Shimron Hetmyer b Shannon Gabriel 122 225 10 0 54.22
105.2
S Gabriel to Root, OUT! End of an excellent innings from England's captain. Shannon Gabriel's prayers have been answered. It was a low full toss on middle, Joe looks to flick it but the bat turns in his hands. The ball goes uppishly to mid-wicket. Shimron Hetmyer puts in a dive towards his front and catches it. Surprisingly, with Root's departure, England have declared their innings at 361/5. Windies will need 485 runs to make it 3-0.
Jos Buttlerb Kemar Roach 56 115 5 0 48.7

Roach to Jos Buttler, OUT! Sound of timber! Roach has done it with the second new ball. Lands it on a length around off and gets it to straighten from there off the seam. Buttler tries flicking but misses as he plays down the wrong line and it goes on to tickle the off stump. The 107-run alliance is broken. England's lead is 23 short of 400!

J Anderson to Brathwaite, OUT! Anderson is making the ball talk here. A length ball outside off and it swings away. Brathwaite defends the ball from the crease and the ball flies off his outside edge towards second slip. Stokes fumbles a bit but takes the catch in the end. Windies have lost one of their main hopes for this innings. England up and running.
John Campbellc Moeen Ali b James Anderson 0 1 0 0 0
0.3
J Anderson to J Campbell, OUT! That is an exceptional, exceptional catch from Moeen Ali. Campbell has gone first ball. That is not what you need when you are trying to save a game. A good length ball outside off and shaping away slightly, John looks to drive without foot movement. The ball goes off the outside edge and flies to the right of Ali at gully. He sticks his hand up and to his amazement, the ball sticks. That is a one-handed stunner. England have broken through in the very first over. Anderson is pumped and so are all his mates.
Shai Hopec Stuart Broad b Mark Wood 14 46 2 0 30.43
15.4
M Wood to Hope, OUT! And there goes another. Trouble rising here for Windies. But in defence Hope would say it was a really good delivery. The ball was on off and shapes into the batsman. Shai looks to defend it on his toes but the ball does not bounce as much as he expected. Then it lobs to cover-point off his bat's lower part as the bottom hand also comes off the bat. Broad there walks back a few steps and catches it over his head. A good catch from the lad. Hope heads back to the pavillion after an uncharacteristic knock. England well in control of the game.
Darren Bravoc Joe Root b James Anderson 0 11 0 0 0

J Anderson to D Bravo, OUT! GONE! Windies are three down! This time the catch is held at the slip cordon. Good length ball angled away from Bravo. He goes for the drive but gets an outside edge which flies to Root and first slip. He takes it at a good height and makes no mistake. Bravo goes without troubling the scorers. Third wicket for Anderson.

Shimron Hetmyerrun out (Joe Denly) 19 38 1 0 50

M Wood to Hetmyer, OUT! And yes, as we expected. Shimron is well short of the crease. An attempted yorker from Wood goes as a full toss outside off, Chase guides it to deep point where there is a gap and runs. 2 runs are completed and the Windies batsmen run for a non-existent third. Denly runs to the ball and throws it on the half-volley to Bairstow. The keeper makes no mistake as he removes the stumps. The umpire takes it upstairs and we see that the southpaw was well short. Suicidal. The first and second run were so casually run and there was no need for the second. But as they say, the mind does not know what the best decisions in such times are and this certainly wasn't one. England are 5 wickets away now. (4 if Paul does not turn up).
Shane Dowrich (W)c Ben Stokes b Moeen Ali 19 26 2 0 73.08
40.5
M Ali to Dowrich, OUT! A loss of concentration! Dowrich departs and that is a huge, huge wicket for England. They are surely into the tail now. A flatter one on middle and off, Dowrich does not come ahead and stays back to defend. The ball goes off the thick outside edge and towards Stokes. Ben takes a good sharp catch, not exactly with his hands though as the ball gets stuck between his arm and his chest. But they all count. Dowrich has to depart. England 3 away now, considering Keemo's injury.
Kemar Roachc Mark Wood b Moeen Ali 29 43 5 0 67.44

M Ali to Roach, OUT! A catch has been taken! Relief for the English! Flighted ball around off, Roach drives it but cannot keep it down. The ball straight to the throat of Mark Wood who makes no mistake. The end is nigh for the hosts.

Ali to A Joseph, OUT! The fun is over for Joseph. Going after each one, he was bound to mistime one and he does. Another flighted one on middle, that is brave bowling from Moeen. Joseph looks to smash that one over deep mid-wicket but the ball bounces and takes the top edge and flies high over the bowler's head. Anderson from mid on runs to his left and takes an easy catch. 1 away now are England.
Shannon Gabrielc Jonny Bairstow b Ben Stokes 3 23 0 0 13.04

Ben Stokes to S Gabriel, OUT! Edge and taken! Stokes does the trick. Length ball outside off, Gabriel who was patient enough now goes after it. He gets an outside edge which goes to Bairstow who takes a simple catch. The players appeal and the umpire raises his finger.

Ben Stokes to Paul, OUT! That is that! Stokes has the final laugh. Goes short on the body of Paul. He makes room and looks to pull this. Gets it off the splice of the bat and it goes high. Stokes hares to the ball and takes a very simple catch. ENGLAND WIN BY 232 RUNS.
