This is back of a length and outside off again, but closer than the previous one, Kirk Mckenzie once again goes slashing at it, but the extra bounce takes the outside edge as the ball flies quickly towards first slip, Usman Khawaja moves to his right and takes a sharp reverse-cup catch.

Mitchell Starc to Kavem Hodge, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Mitchell Starc GETS HIS FOURTH! Charges in and delivers it fuller and swinging into middle. Kavem Hodge wants to flick it away but closes the face of his bat early as the ball flies off the outside edge. Steven Smith is the man at second slip who doesn't miss this easy chance. Justin Greaves plays it away from his body, looking to push this away but gets an outside edge dropping onto Usman Khawaja at second slip. Usman Khawaja leans low and takes a good catch as Justin Greaves has to walk back. Nathan Lyon to Joshua Da Silva, OUT! LBW! GIVEN but Joshua Da Silva wants to have a look upstairs. Looks pretty straightforward. Nathan Lyon serves it full and straight on middle. Joshua Da Silva gets on the back foot to nudge it away. He is rapped on the pads and the ball hasn't made any contact with the bat. Alzarri Joseph tries to punch it on the off side but the ball nicks the outer edge and flies away to Steven Smith at second slip who has been on the money all day. He takes a simple catch. That will be the end of play for Day 1 and it has been a good day for West Indies with the bat.

Pat Cummins to Kemar Roach, OUT! RUN OUT! A huge mix-up in the middle and Australia gets a gift of a wicket here. Pat Cummins comes around the wicket and bowls this on a good length, on off, Kemar Roach pushes it with soft hands in front of covers and sets off for the run, Sinclair takes a few steps forward and then sends his partner back, Roach is already halfway down the pitch and slips and falls on the pitch while turning back, Marnus Labuschagne runs forward, picks up the ball and throws it to Travis Head who has run in from short leg. He collects the ball and takes off the bails.

Kemar Roach to Steven Smith, OUT! LBW! Kemar Roach draws first blood! What a start for West Indies! Steven Smith's struggle as an opener continues and he will be disappointed as he looked very positive out there. This one is fuller again and on off, jags back in sharply and skids thorough, Steven Smith takes a big step across to work it away, but misses it completely due to the movement and gets hit on the pads right on the front of the stumps. Kevin Sinclair to Usman Khawaja, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Kevin Sinclair gets his maiden Test wicket! The backflips are out at the Gabba. He also gets the big fish, Usman Khawaja, and finally breaks the partnership that the Windies desperately wanted. This is flighted, full and around off, turns away a shy bit, Usman Khawaja eyes light up and he goes for the big drive but only manages to get an outside edge towards first slip where Alick Athanaze takes a sharp catch. Sinclair brings out his cartwheel and backflip celebration and this is just the start for home in Test cricket. A fantastic knock from Khawaja finally comes to an end. Australia still trails by 69 runs with two wickets in hand!

Alzarri Joseph to Marnus Labuschagne, OUT! TAKEN AT SLIPS! What a stunning catch from Kevin Sinclair and he is having a debut to remember here. Alzarri Joseph lands this on a hard length and just around off, nips away a bit, Marnus Labuschagne stays back in his crease and just hangs his bat out to play at it without any footwork, the ball flies off the outside edge towards the slip corder, Kevin Sinclair dives to his right and takes a blinder. He runs away in celebration while the whole Windies team chases him. Australia in a bit of trouble now!

This is fuller in length and just around off, sticks to the surface a bit, Cameron Green takes a big stride out to drive, but the bat turns in his hand and he only manages to chip it straight to mid off, Kraigg Brathwaite there takes a dolly. Cameron Green's adventures in the middle comes to an end now!

Kemar Roach to Travis Head, OUT! TAKEN! TWO IN TWO FOR ROACH! The crowd at Gabba goes silent now! An unlucky way to get dismissed for Travis Head, but West Indies won't mind one bit. Kemar Roach serves this one fuller as well, but angling down the leg side, Travis Head stays there and tries to flick it away but only manages to nick it behind where Joshua Da Silva moves quickly to his right to take a sharp catch. Head goes back for a golden duck and Australia are in all sorts of trouble now. THAT WILL BE DINNER ON DAY 2!

Alzarri Joseph to Mitchell Marsh, OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! Alzarri Joseph gets his second now! He bangs in a quick and sharp bouncer now, on off, Mitchell Marsh goes for the pull shot, but gets hurried and the ball gets big on him. He miscues his shot in the air as it loops towards short mid-wicket where Kemar Roach takes a simple catch. Australia loses half their side now!

Shamar Joseph to Alex Carey, OUT! TAKEN! Shamar Joseph gets the dangerous man walking back to the pavilion! Delivers it on a good length around off, tempting Carey to pull it. The field had just been changed a ball prior and Alex Carey fell in the trap, pulled it, and didn't place it well or high enough. Mitchell Starc goes fetching for it but without any footwork. This time, he gets the outer edge and the keeper Joshua Da Silva takes a brilliant catch behind the stumps. Australia have been put in a tough spot as they now trail by 150 runs with only 3 wickets left in their innings.

Alzarri Joseph to Nathan Lyon, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! That is the end of a brave innings by Nathan Lyon! Alzarri Joseph drops it short and over middle. Nathan Lyon, with the intent to hit, pulls at it wildly. He gets hurried on and ends up nicking the upper edge. Joshua Da Silva takes a sharp catch behind the stumps and the umpire raises a finger straight away. Both Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon walk off the field as they have declared their innings with a deficit of 22 runs hanging over their heads. Pat Cummins' plan working to perfection! Josh Hazlewood charges in and delivers it on a good length outside off. Tagenarine Chanderpaul unlike him, opts to reach for it but the ball swings away from him. Alex Carey is confident and he brings out a loud appeal. The umpire stays unmoved. Pat Cummins runs in to have a discussion and they have opted to review it. The Snicko meter has confirmed that Tagenarine Chanderpaul has feathered it on the outer edge. Tagenarine Chanderpaul departs just 3 balls before the day ends and Australia are delighted. West Indies lead the match by 35 runs but they are one wicket down now.

Nathan Lyon to Kirk Mckenzie, OUT! LBW! Kirk Mckenzie misses the line completely. He still takes it upstairs in the dying seconds. Snicko shows no bat. Ball Tracking shows it is umpire's call on wickets hitting. Worth a review but Kirk Mckenzie has to go. Tossed up on middle. Kirk Mckenzie looks to sweep but misses and gets hit on the pads. Timely wicket and a crucial one as Kirk Mckenzie was playing well. 

Nathan Lyon to Alick Athanaze, OUT! TAKEN! Steven Smith takes the catch and points at Nathan Lyon! Gives a bit of flight, full and angling just outside off. Athanaze is in for a drive but gets a thick outside edge and it flies to first slip where Steven Smith holds onto it. Nathan Lyon gets his second wicket.

Nathan Lyon to Kavem Hodge, OUT! RUN OUT! Superb, superb effort from Travis Head and Australia have their man. Kavem Hodge cannot believe it and is on his haunches. Tossed up on middle, Kavem Hodge gets forward and flicks it but straight to short leg. Travis Head gets the ball in his control and flicks it right back onto the stumps. Kavem Hodge turns and flies back, stretches his bat but was in the air when the bails light up. Out of nowhere, Australia have a wicket.

Josh Hazlewood to Justin Greaves, OUT! TAKEN! Carey holds on. Australia strike early after the break. Good length and on off, a little of bit extra bounce and it holds its line. Greaves looks to defend. This goes off the outside edge and it is taken by Carey on probably the third attempt. 

Mitchell Starc to Joshua Da Silva, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! A blinder from Green! He loves that gully region. This is very full and angles it outside off, Joshua Da Silva goes for the big drive but edges it to gully. Once, it felt it will evade past Green but the big man leaps and gets both hands on it. It lobs off but on the second-attempt catches it with his right hand. All in the air. Lovely stuff. Australia have two wickets just because of their fielding. 

Josh Hazlewood to Alzarri Joseph, OUT! TAKEN! Hazlewood is breathing fire here. He has two quickly after the break. He's got Joseph again. Length and around off, extra bounce yet again. Joseph fails to get on top of it, it goes off the outside edge and it is taken by Smith at second slip. 

Nathan Lyon to Kemar Roach, OUT! LBW! Kemar Roach is given LBW but he reviews it. Well past bat so directly on BALL TRACKING and it shows umpire's call on wickets hitting. Nathan Lyon gets his third. This one lands outside off and spins in sharply. Roach goes back but his bat is no where close to the ball, gets hit on the pads and it goes onto clip the top of bail. Australia have been so good.

Alzarri Joseph to Usman Khawaja, OUT! GONE! Khawaja goes. A nothing delivery literally. This is on a length and down the leg side. Khawaja looks to flick but edges it to the keeper who makes no mistake. Khawaja will be very disappointed with how he has got out. 

Justin Greaves to Marnus Labuschagne, OUT! GONE! Labuschagne goes. West Indies hanging in there. Short of a length and angling on off. Labuschagne had to play at it, tries to defend but outside edges it to the right of third slip. Kevin Sinclair dives and makes no mistake. 

Shamar Joseph to Cameron Green, OUT! TIMBER! Joseph strikes. He gets rid of Green. The wicket has come probably later the Windies would have wanted this morning but it has. They'll hope this opens the floodgates now. 103 more needed. This is a brute of a delivery. Good length and around off, it jags back in and there is also some extra bounce. Green looks to defend. It hits the elbow and then onto the stumps. 

Shamar Joseph to Travis Head, OUT! TIMBER! Two in two for Joseph and Windies back into this one. This is a corker of a yorker. Joseph goes full and on off, Head looks to jam it out but misses and it hits the off pole. Too good for any batter that delivery, especially on the very first ball he faces. 

Shamar Joseph to Mitchell Marsh, OUT! Edged and taken! Joseph at it again. Marsh falls. Australia five down now. This is a beauty. Good length and around off, this lands and moves away. Marsh looks to defend but this goes off the outside edge. The fielder at second slip looks to take it but it pops out. It lobs kindly to the third slip fielder. Justin Greaves makes no mistake. Goes full and on middle, nice and quick, Carey is rooted to his crease, he is late in getting his bat down. The ball sneaks through and it hits the stumps. Windies 4 wickets away now.
