Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani has shut down such talks saying they won't agree to sacrificing Asia Cup for IPL.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) hasn't resorted to pay cuts as it claims to have been in a better place than other cricket boards who have done so.
The Asia Cup 2020 was to be held in September and would have served as a perfect tune-up to the T20 World Cup in October.
Ganguly also made it clear that the BCCI had no objection to Pakistan remaining hosts of the Asia Cup at any neutral venue.
India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2012-13 when Pakistan visited the country for a limited-overs series.
The statement comes from PCB CEO Wasim Khan, while reiterating that Pakistan had not given up the rights to host the Asia Cup, to be contested in T20 format.
Various media reports suggest that a call for the change in venue will be taken in February, with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and even Australia and Dubai as possible new venues to host the tournament
Since 2009, Pakistan have played almost all their ‘home’ matches in the UAE.
