After bundling out Uttar Pradesh for 194 in their second innings early on day four of the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 quarter-final match, Saurashtra finished the day at 195/2 in chase of 373 to win
For Saurashtra, Jadeja returned with impressive figures of four for 53 in his 19 overs, while Sakariya went for 29 runs in his 15 overs.
Mavi returned with figures of three for 39 in his 12 overs, while Dayal and Rajpoot, who picked two apiece, registered figures of 2/35 and 2/58 respectively.
Saurashtra, with 29 points from eight games, join Vidharba, Karnataka and Gujarat in the quarter-finals from Group A.
Desai smashed nine boundaries, while Jackson tonked 10 fours.
With the win, Saurashtra have topped group A with 25 points to leave Gujarat, currently occupying the second spot with 18 points.
Gujarat captain Priyank Panchal, who was unbeaten on 124 overnight, departed nine runs short of 150.
For Saurashtra, Sakariya was the pick of the bowlers with five for 83 in his 22 overs.
The SCA also praised the team coach Rahul Dravid. The former India captain remained a source of inspiration for the team through out the tournament, it said.
