Indian cricketers took to social media to express their joy at lifting the Tri-nation ODI series trophy and praise skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni for steering the team home after a mid-innings collapse.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli lifted the tri-series trophy together after India snatched a win over Sri Lanka in the final. Early in the series, Dhoni injured himself and missed a few games. As a result, Kohli led the team in those matches and scored a hundred as well in the victory over the West Indies.
Triumphant Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said he preferred to use a heavy bat in the final over of the Tri-nation ODI series title clash against Sri Lanka as it was "perfect for slogging".
